Malky or Martinez

One manager got to a League Cup Final and gained promotion

One manager got to the FA Cup Final and got relegated

Based on their CV's, it's closer than others are making out

I still say we go for Lennon. We could use his spite come derby day

2 games a season not really good enough reason to give him a long term job though mate.

Though actually, some of the things I have said about Pereira in the post above probably apply to Lennon too.

There is one question I have for Lennon, if he was the Everton manager, would he wear a poppy?

I have no problem with Everton taking their time to hopefully find the most suitable man.
After 11 years of Moyes developing the club from top to bottom and bringing in, not just talented players but the right players with good attitudes, this is something I think we will need to replicate. For all of our financial woes we have never purchased a player who has immediately stated they would sooner be playing at (insert club) or loaned someone who wouldn't sign perminantley if we wanted them to (Fernandes was a compicated situation).
Only those inside the club will know who has similar qualities. Moyes' true genius wasn't always what happened during the 90 mins (last years Wembley defeat was disgraceful), but his tireless work in making us that bit stronger each season with 0 budget.

I just hope we can find someone who can replicate the latter, and be bold enough to win those knife edge games.

Just as I had given up hope of Pereira, bloomin O'Keefe drags me back up again with his stupid article. I know it's not on, but now I'm dreaming that it was again.

He had the bollocks ripped out of his team and still lead them to the title undefeated. Lets not pretend it's an easy feat to manage, because it isn't.

Have you seen that Portuguese league its like the old firm league dominated by Rangers & Celtic a two team league he started off under AVB of Spurs and he flopped at Chelski more of a risk than most managers we have looked at imo!

Not that it's the benchmark in any way, but Celtic would struggle to finish 5th in the Portuguese league. Everyone comparing Pereira to Lennon are doing Pereira a disservice in my opinion.

Reading that has made me feel a little ill. So he's been interviewed, wants the job, has an excellent CV and is out of contract so no compo required? And we're jibbing him off for Roberto Martinez?

Only at Everton!!

That maybe a smokescreen & Mirrors performance by BK so he can say he tried to get the Porto coach -ask yourself this if he had been interviewed why was it not highlighted on SSN like yesterday with Martinez? or maybe VP will be interviewed this weekend, & maybe makay & Lennon the schedule seems a bit tight but you never know with BK!
