Is the Everton site down for anyone else?

Up for me.

In response to regrettable and somewhat premature reports earlier this evening, Everton Football Club are continuing discussions with regards to the vacant managerial position.

Whilst positive moves are being made, the Club will officially announce details as and only when they are agreed and completed.

...this morning the Blues are saying talks are ongoing. Things are rarely straightforward, but the pieces are falling into place with Whelan saying he spoke with Bill at 18.00hrs and agreed compensation then had coffee with Martinez. Any appointment is a gamble, but I would be delighted if its Martinez. Hope by the time I get in from work its all done and dusted.

Yesterday afternoon, the leader of Wigan, Dave Whelan, has come to take for granted the way of Roberto Martinez to Everton, but the Toffees through the club's official website, issued a statement denying such news, and ensuring that the job coach , left open after the departure of David Moyes for Man United, are still open.

On the same day it became known that Vítor Pereira rejected the invitation to renew Pinto da Costa with FC Porto. Everton may have revived interest in the technician who was crowned Portuguese champions.

Hold on lads it might be back on
