No obvious candidates. Michael laudrup would be my choice I guess. He knows Spanish football very well, has made some astute signings with little money to play with. He would instantly have the respect of our senior players due to the clubs he has played for. I have also found him to being good with the media and has respect from his peers.

Good point, but I can't help feeling that it could happen with any manager we get and so I'd still love us to get him off Swansea.

I don´t get this Laudrup-frenzy. Swansea have been absolutely toothless whenever I´ve seen them. Haven´t they been beaten at home by us, Spurs, Arsenal, Utd and Chelsea this seaons?

I Honestly don't think they expected it so I don't think they know so everybody else is guessing . I know we had an informal chat about Martinez ages ago but surely his star is falling ? I think you can make a case for loads of 'average' managers , I suspect the laudrup stuff is coming from him but that we afford his compo , I think going is a risk if it goes wrong the media will hammer you in a way that won't happen if you go domestic for me there are just load of imponderables and we'll all need to wait and see the shortlist get trimmed down a bit.

We will not pay compensation to any club, for obvious reasons.
