True, lets just bury our head in the sand and pretend he not being disrespectful to us.

I'm with Ijjy on this.

I've wanted rid of him for years, this isn't going to change how I feel about the situation if I'm honest. I appreciate the "Moyes fans" (for lack of better term) will be getting angry.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand the lads who are miffed with the meeting, but in reality are they going to be remembering this alleged meeting in a few months time?

Doubt it.

In a few days time, Moyes will be Everton history. Lets just look at the future. Our new (future) manager is much more important than the soon to be Man Utd one. I respect Moyes for the work be has done for Everton Football Club, but no use to keep dwelling on the past.

If he tries to poach any of our players this summer, I'll lose a lot of respect for him though..

Perhaps they have had a bid for Rooney and wanted to be an opinion from Moyes, after all it will be his decision

Exactly this

Hi Belg!

yep thats it lets just paper over it and pretend it didnt happen, yet if other managers did this we would be laughing at them saying how you would never see moyes doing this kind of stuff

I'm not arsed about what Moyes had said to the media, he will be gone sunday and yet the truth hurts when he said we're not as good as the 80 and moving on to better things, because both statement are true to him. Lets move on and hopefully we will get a new manager who believes in us and will fight for us because Moyes heart now belongs to Man u. Hope we go out and beat his dream team when they come for a visit next season.

His heart isn't there, yet. It's still with us for the time being and will be to a degree for the rest of his life.

Football people, players and managers, change clubs through their working lives and I'm sure it's just a job a lot of the time.

I'm made this point yesterday and I say again; he will develop an affection there soon if he's successful.

In the meantime, he's an Everton supporter.

Are you really going to be thinking about this in say a months time?

Pretty sad if you are mate. He had a meeting with his new employers. OH MY GOD.

I had a meeting with my new boss when before I got my latest job. My old boss must have been fuming. Oh no. He wasn't.

Is Kenwright right to take his time

Kenwright says he will take his time over a new manager. How much time have we got? My worry is he leaves it too late. Yes we need to have a look but it is important to get a new manger in sooner than late. I would say mid June at the latest. The new manager needs to settle in and plan his transfer targets. It is vitally important that we get off to a good start otherwise the doom merchants will be out in force.

It worries me looking at bills track record of messing things up. Lets hope he gets it right.

Porto manager for me.

I hope Moyes is handing back his last week's £70,000 payment. Tying up his contract with United and starting his new job early means he cant have been doing too much EFC business.

You gotta admit it's hard to defend the guy if that is true, and a serious breach of conduct. First I'd heard of it is reading it from you, is this true or tabloid stuff?

Aw, get real. Does anyone seriously expect him to have no dealings or contact at all with his new employers until July 1st?

We're fans but it's his job, FGS. There's a difference.

Have no doubt that he will do all he can for Everton at Chelsea. Can we ask or expect any more?

its not just about the right manager for the team its about the right manager who can work with kenright. i.e. being told theres no money after having a decent season.

Its possible it might be someone like stubbs or round on a temporary 1-2 year deal until someone else comes up on the radar.

If moyes had left last season the 3 top managers in the frame would of been lambert hughton and rodgers, so you have to be careful about signing someone up straight away next summer there might be better candidates then this summer martinez and makay no thanks

Honestly not bothered if he had a meeting with SAF and Giggs.

He had a meeting with his new employer? Not that bad is it really? He must have had meetings to agree to the job remember.

Yes, probably could have waitied until next week, but we don't know the circumstances of the meeting. They might have just been on the p*ss.

I hope not, as it was 10.30 on a Monday morning.

Poor form tbh, if they met up after hours for a meal & a pint fair enough, but the fact that it was on a Monday morning (albeit maybe a day off given the game on Sunday) it still didn't look right, we're still paying him, he's been indiscrete here.

Onwards now, no matter what you think of him, it's about what happens next. Looking at the list of replacements, you can break it into two groups, those I definitely DON'T Want and those who COULD do a job. It's hard to know, and everyone will have a different instinct on this but ultimately we're trusting to luck.

Exactly right. Let's just wait and see and hope for the best. It'll come down to luck, in the end.
