It's a shame Brian McDermott wasn't a better/talented manager because every time I see him being interviewed he comes across as a quite nice guy. But unfortunately I don't think he would ever be good enough for our club and I think he will do well with Leeds.

Shame that sometimes the likeable guys don't always make the best managers.

I've been to work, picked my oldest up from my little brothers, had my dinner and still no announcement on who's replacing Moyes? I'm fizzing.

KENWRIGHT OUT!!!!!

Kenwright will look toward Moyes for his thoughts on the Manager role, like he did with Walter. Do we trust Moyes to give a un-bias reponse.

This occurred to me the other day. If Moyes thinks someone is great - particularly an up and coming young coach - wouldn't he want him for Man Utd instead?

I mean, let's say for instance Phil Neville was a tremendous coach and is a future manager in the making. Is Moyes going to be totally unbiased and say, "Bill, Phil's the man for you"? Or would he be inclined to say someone else, in the knowledge he wants Phil to join his backroom staff at Utd?

All hypothetically of course.

I hope this isn't distasteful to say because it's so tragic what happened to Gary Speed. Imagine if his Wales team had kept progressing like they were, he would be a shoe-in as my favourite for the job. It really looked like he had the golden touch with management.

joking? If not, Bill has said the search starts after the season ends.

We need a manager with management experience for me, so the only clash of interest is if Moyes thinks 'Malky Mackay is so good I better not recommend him in case my old everton team start finishing above my new united team'.
Truth be told Moyes is an honest man of principle, so I doubt he'd purposely mislead Bill into an expensive flop of a manager. But I don't necessarily think he should be listened to on the matter either.

Get Martinez in, he's a calculated risk instead of a complete gamble.
