Is there ever any evidence ofthis "promote from within" policy actually workimg?

Apart from the halycon days of the Boot Room at Anfield, I can't think of any.

It didn't work for us with Colin.....albeit it wasn't a disaster.

It didn't work when Man. United tried it with Wilf McGuinness after Busby.

Don Howe wasn't a raging success at Arsenal after Bertie Mee.

It is certainly not a road down which I wish to see the club travel.

RUMOUR: Alan Stubbs to be announced new manager tonight at awards. Come from twitter. (Don't shoot me lads)

[Poor language removed] OFF KENWRIGHT.

Kenwright will want someone british who understands the financial restraints, who wont rock the boat, and will kiss his arse and say how great a chairman he is, that rules out every foreign manager, and managers that like to work on a budget, which would leave David Moyes MK II aka Malkay Mackay, Martinez and stubbs/ferguson etc.

Whilst ive also been told its going to be Stubbs, they won't announce it till after Moyes last game. Stubbs has agreed a year 3 yr deal and will official take over 1st July. Steve Round will stay as assistant and big Dunc will become reserve team manager. Stubbs is unproven and deserves a chance. Happier with him than Martinez. Time will tell, but he's a blue so get behind him.

No experience what so ever, and we have the likes of Pereira and Jorge Jesus available? Great ambition that.

We'll go downhill now all due to that corrupt t**t called Kenwright.

Hardly available are they? Would never come here and work under a £0 budget. Stubbs is a safe choice and thats all we had.
