I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS SONIC!!!!

He may go Championship again. Moyes is on a kings ransom at Everton. I doubt the board will want to throw that type of cash at a new man. They could actually look to make a bit of a saving here given Moyes is the best paid member of the team staff.

I dont think we'll get a name, tbh. If not one of the 'unemployables', or internals it'll be someone like Malky Mackay or another well tipped up and coming manager.

I don't think Martinez would ask for a kings random wage wise, and I'm sure Whelan wouldn't want a massive compo deal neither if Martinez wanted to leave.

I do think Martinez would actually care about talking the reins from Moyes and want to make a difference, do it long term. I can't think of anyone else who wouldn't just jump ship if it got tough, or if a better paid job came like you get the impression Laudrup etc would do.

yep martinez is the one for us imo

Firstly I'm firmly in the pro-Moyes staying camp.

However if he leaves we need a manager who:

Promotes youth
Has a huge knowledge of up and coming European footballers and the contacts to get them
Plays good football
And above all gets consistent results

For me that means someone like Thomas Tuchel from Mainz.

The other names mentioned on this thread are frightening. People who have proved themselves worse than Moyes or wasted millions in the transfer market.

Martinez has a reasonable budget at Wigan compared to the likes of Norwich, Swansea, WBA but has spent 3 seasons struggling in the bottom 5 and losing heavily in the games that take place before March. He has shown nothing that says he can set up a consistent winning team.

We arnt going to be able to get a big name manager like billic simply because of how little spending money he would have, i personally think we will end up with someone like martinez or irvine
