what I would love to happen is Moyes takes a year out...someone steps in as interim who is looking to prove themselves...gets a bit of fire into the squad...Moyes has look round and realises grass isn't greener and anywhere else he signs they would expect him to win the big games and not just protect his reputation, he signs contract for us in 2014 and is humble enough to note how interim manager got them playing with confidence in the big games. Keeps them on as an assistant...fresh approach but same stability... fourth spot in 2014/15...fantasy though

if not that though then I think Bilic until Stubbs is experienced enough

If David Moyes leaves and IF the club wants to replace him with a young inexperienced manager then they could appoint an older experienced advisor to the coach manager for a couple of seasons.
The elder statesman would provide the experience that would help the young manager to learn his trade without taking up the responsibility of running the club.

I wouldn't have him back as a manager at this point, but with all the reminiscing about him on here recently I think there should be a place for Joe Royle at the club.

I like how Bayern, Ajax and Manchester United find positions for big personalities that are synonymous with past success. It's probably not something we'll ever see under the present board, but I think it'd be a big step towards changing the frankly small-time mentality which has developed since 1997.
