Moyes sacked by United

He had to go, not because of their poor form but because he simply won't be able to attract big enough names to the club and would waste the reported £150-odd million they have to spend this summer.

If anyone thinks they're just going to appoint another manager and suddenly not struggle is deluding themselves.

I think @GrandOldTeam put it well, comments like " won the league last year. Spent £70m+ this year are likely to be around 7th"

Really stunning really.

I honestly thought money was the reason he couldnt break the glass ceiling and I defended certain "things" that happened, the 3-0 at Anfield, the SF at Wembley, I part blamed the players, I considering THEM to be the bottlers, I thought it was partly them not having the required "bottle" to get over the line, then Bobby came in and then it was clear that wasnt the case.

Meanwhile over at OT Moyes took over a quite awful squad of players, granted a group of players that had just pissed the title, but players that knew how to win and he managed to turn them into a mid table club overnight, the 2 transfer windows showed me what a moron he is, an unlimited fund and he managed to buy 2 players for a postion they didnt really need and spent 78m doing it.

LOL

Hes not good enough to manage at the highest level, its taken me a long time to realise this, but my eyes are now open.

That sums up exactly how I have felt and how I feel.

I defended Moyes with the same mentality but Martinez has truly shown him to be tactically inept. Goodison on Sunday was a masterclass on how to get one over on another manager by changing your own playing style so easily.

Boss all round top fella Phil Neville appears to have scuttled under a rock currently. Strangely quiet on the subject of his long time mentors sacking within one season. Wonder what he's up to behind the scenes ?

Yes he is likely in hock with butt scholes giggs and the rest who orchestrated this maneouvre.

He's proved this season that he's not up to managing Manchester United OR Everton.

Hopefully he'll find a club happy to languish mid-table and find a bit of humility too.

Sir Alex just gets better in my eyes. Knocks le merde right off their perch for 20 plus years and when he leaves, ensures that Everton have a long overdue clearout of the deadwood polluting our coaching and managerial staff.

Just wish he could sort kenwright.

Either he's a grass or those of the class of 92 who are behind this coup made sure he remains as he's obviously one of them.

Cant see the likes of Rooney and Mata having much time for him. They probably need to clear out all the old guard like Giggs and start again. As good a player as Giggs was he's got the charisma of a toothbrush.

Neville is one of the worst players I've seen play for Everton. Stifled every attack by being so slow on the ball with such an awful first touch. Unbelievable he got so many caps for England. Shudders at the thought of him managing us.
