Moyes sacked by United

In brief hindsight, isn't it incredible how fast a man's stock can plummet ?.

And I genuinely believe that the generation of Man U fans, engorged and obese with trophy success for 20 odd years, are about to embark on a Wendy Craig.

Life's like that

Agreed, any world class players they try to sign now are going to walk into Old Trafford and say "right then, whats your top earner on? 300k a week you say, ok, lets start there"

I thought it was a crazy deal at the time and it looks even worse now.

No top class player is going to go to OT for less than that money now.

They might do if United get back on top....but not in their current state.

He'll take the Mark Hughes path now. Lower end of the league clubs. He'll also find it difficult finding a set up he enjoyed at Everton - a club where the name of the game in his early years was merely staying in the division and allowing time for the owners to get a stadium built in order to sell the club on. He wont get that stability elsewhere. His second season in change of Everton when we finished 17th would have been met with the sack at most clubs.

If he emulates Pulis at a lower end / mid-table team he'll have done well. I doubt very much he'll see the big time again.

do you forgive him though Davek ???

does the good born again christian inside of you believe that Moyes can ultimately be redeemed ???

Scholes taking training at Carrington today with Giggs, Butt and Neville. Scholes return a mere day after Moyes removal gives the clearest indication yet that this was a class of 92 orchestrated coup, with the Glazers merely doing their bidding.

Imagine being told what to do by Nicky Butt lol He's done well to attach himself and stick to the 'Class of 92' lads. lol Bloody awful player imo.

I dont think he should be forgiven his arrogance last summer and his attempt to undermine Martinez. He'll never be thought well of again due to that. But I have no real antagonism toward him other than that. He did a solid if unspectacular job here. That should be recognised. But he's a limited manager and I really think he'll struggle now. And I dont particularly care about that.

For some reason that made me think of an Enid Blyton book.

SAF: is it beyond all possibilities he could come back? I dont think so. Unlikely maybe. But if he did I could see that squad busting a gut to get a CL place next season.
