That's fair enough, I'm more criticising the people who feel the need to give him loads of stick. I don't think he showed us that little respect if I'm honest though. He went to Utd to do a job far to big for him and said some stupid things he obviously regrets. All I'm saying is that if it was a choice between Moyes and El Fraudo (and the thought of such a choice sends a shiver down my spine!) it wouldn't even be a contest as far as I'm concerned.I'm not saying either view is right or wrong, I just don't have any particularly good feelings towards him bar appreciating what he did to sort us right on early doors in his career here.
I'm not sure I can give him any more respect than that when he showed us so little

Me too. Gallows humour ?I did laugh at the Everton fans at the game singing 'Sacked in the morning' to him.

Herrera and Shaw were nearly £60m mate, Herrera alone was £29m.
Yeah it's a curiously insecure, small-time attitude - we don't care what the RS say, because the lion does not catch flies. So we should also not care about a good ex-manager temporarily letting himself down with some ill-chosen words, spoken when he was overwhelmed and out of his depth.Nobody is defending Moyes obvious fault's here. I'd agree he stayed here about three years to many and he acted like an idiot in his first few months at Utd. However when I look back on his time here, I see a very flawed manager who did far more good then harm. This club was on its arse after a decade of garbage football and almost yearly relegation battles. Moyes put an end to that. He gave the club it's dignity back and put us in a position were we could have ambitions that went beyond juat staying up. I'm not saying he's a club legend or anything even approaching that and I'm very happy that we've moved past him but if you look at his work here I think he at least deserves respect and certainly not the stick he's taking. Does his silly nonsense when he first went to Utd change anything? Only if your determined to not look at the bigger picture.
Guess I meant Di Maria didn't I?
Let's face it, he hasn't had a chance to stamp his own personality on this side yet or get his new signings playing to their potential. Januzaj in particular could end up being one of the stand out players this season if Moyes gets it right
Sunderland looked organised and motivated in that first half, but just had no answer for Del when he came on
I honestly think that if Moyes is given time, he will keep Sunderland up this season and he will then start gradually strengthening them
This job is really his last chance in the big leagues, and I honestly hope he makes this work, partly because I bare him no ill will and also because I like Sunderland and don't want to see them relegated

I am in a bind.
I still want to see him squirm.....but at the same time I have always liked Sunderland since the Jimmy Hill match and hate seeing them relegated.
Why do you want to see him squirm, he's had to do that at both Utd and Sociedad, he is nothing to do with us other than his record a long serving manager. I want to see EP squirm but them he was incompetent and took us for £10 mil and wasted millions more on garbage. Koeman is doing a great job but if Barca come calling for him he'll be off...............
