Moyes to Sunderland

I think Sunderland will be ok this season, they have had some tough fixtures to start with. Moyes will get them well organised and tough to beat, that in itself is enough to beat the drop.

Less time needs to be spent devoted to thinking does he regret it and more on being thankful he did ;)

Don't get me wrong i'm happy with what he did for this club but we were going nowhere with him and honestly he looked like he was going through the motions with us. He is a good, solid manager but I'd be surprised if he ever won something. (Hopefully we are not counting the community shield as something and that will be it unless he gets the Celtic job) He likes to reduce expectation too much to the point the players are already beat before they cross the white line.

Moyes will remain a manager who never wins a trophy. Almost guaranteed. Cup football calls for bold decisions at key moments. Moyes cant be bold. Not in him.

Reflects his playing days mate. Good player at the level I saw him for several years. Dependable, rarely let the side down, very very focused, but you couldnt see him, how can I put this, taking a risk (?). In a lower league defense, that was obviously good mind, but again, while admired by Bristol City supporters, he was never seen as part of the club. Almost an outsider the few times I saw him out with the team.

Put it this way, he won with Bristol one of a handful of cups they ever have won, or ever will, but players who won less, and were maybe inferior to him, are more fondly remembered.

Doesn't surprise me to hear that. I think the trajectory looks downward for Moyesie. He might make a fist of it at Sunderland, but I doubt it. If he finishes well down the league I dont think he'll be there next season. He's destined for a triumphant return to Deepdale at some point. I'm convinced of it.
