MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Talking to a few Utd fans and they do not like the idea of paying 19-20 million for a 29 year old left back. If the deal goes through, Baines would want to hit the ground running, after the season Evra had last season!!! Can`t wait till Moyes is under serious pressure after the tough start Utd have as well.

Don't tell me to shut the **** up. There's no need for that. Everton are being royally shafted here and taken the piss out of like no club I can compare to. It's worthy of an opinion and debate. Nobody is asking you to read or post.

Not saying that at all. Just that at midnight you'll have to climb down off that moral high horse of yours because there will be no question anymore that Moyes is contracted to Everton even though he probably already isn't as has been pointed out to you several times already.

IF he's still under contract to Everton - which we're all told he is then IF Moyes has had anything to do with the Baines bid then it's the clearest breach of contract possible - don't you agree?

Then that's why its more or less the club that's made the bid. Why go through a potential legal minefield for the sake of holding out a few days?

Agreed but it's just not likely United would bid for Baines without Moyes being involved though is it? New man. Six year contract etc?

Hang on unless I'm mistaken the only public word has been about a contract expiring at the end of June. A few posters have speculated that it might have been knocked on the head sooner but that's all in the name of "can't believe he'd do this whilst still under contract".

And if it's all the same I'll carry on tomorrow as well if Moyes does any more snidey ****!

Moyes being the buying manager still under contract makes it messy.

Look at what will happen tomorrow - Martinez will likely then start bidding for Kone and bring Alvaraz through. That's the least Moyes could have done in this sorry business over Baines. He'd have still got stick over the price offered, but at least he wouldn't have added insult to injury. And it's not a small thing either. The fact he didn't hang on shows a cavalier attitude toward the club he just left.

It's pretty poor. I thought United were supposed to be good at this sort of stuff? They've jumped in with a pair of size 12 boots on here. But hey, we dont matter. It's all about showing who's in charge.

Again, as pointed out many times, it's the CLUB going after a talented player, hence no media or club fap-fest over breach of contracts from Moyes etc etc.

Why make a bid midweek when the manager is no officially in charge? Its because he's got no say in what the club want to do. Baines has already been a target from last season, they're just carrying on. Don't need Moyes to tell them to stop, go, or indeed wait. He's also not going to tell them to not bother as Baines is a quality player.

If we sell Baines it'll be for decent money, the club won't be "royally shafted".

Stop crying and man up, Moyes has gone. We're Everton, not a bunch of mewling wimps.

Exactly. It's about respect. We should tell United to get to ****, drag down all that "In Moyes we trust ****e" from around Goodison and tell the world what the ginger bedwetter is really like.

We've all watched the decline/sale of Arteta, Yak, Cahill, Lescott, Rooney. We've coped after each one. No matter how good the player no one is greater than the team. If he leaves they'll have to pay the fair amount. It'll actually probably make the team stronger on the overall.

Meh

He's not going to say no to it, is he? Its almost like Mark Hughes playing golf when he found out Man City had bought Robiniho. Had nothing to do with it, but isn't going to say no. Of course they havent done Moyes' back, but I'm sure he hasn't gone straight to the board on gone "I want Baines".

The only thing that muddies the water is that he's the ex-Everton manager. But I'm sure if Mourinho for eg was in charge, a bid still would've come in for him.

It's also more than likely that they're not going to keep hounding Baines if the fee goes silly. United fans are already not too pleased that Moyes is chasing Baines as there's more important positions to fill. And I'm sure that even Moyes' first big money signing for United won't be £20million on a 29 year old full back.

Over the past few years, United have usually spent big on the 1 big player or on youth. I can't see that changing. Especially with the Rooney thing up in the air.

Its a Manure way to unsettle players, I remember there was a piece in the national press, when Rooney was here, saying that all the United players told SAF to go and buy Rooney after the 4-3 defeat at Goodison. It was the same comment used after Utd had played against Sporting Lisbon to buy Ronaldo. Paul Ince let slip that they asked him to ask Andy Cole when he was on international duty with England. I bet Gary neville probably spoke to baines when he was on England duty.Im not defending Moyes but even with our 'board' i think any breach in contract they would act on it. It wouldnt surprise me at all if Moyes had been in touch with Baines, Im sure they have each others mobile numbers

I don't get what everyone is getting so worked up about.

So what if Utd put in a low bid for Baines, we won't accept it. If they put in a big enough bid we might accept it.

I think the bid is just being used as a reason for people to vent some negative feelings towards Moyes\Kenwright.

Can anyone really say that if they were in Moyes' position they wouldn't try buying Baines out of honour and respect for Everton? It's business.

I wouldn't mind but half the forum complainers and anti Moyes\Kenwright\everything that moves brigade, always complain about loyalty to the club but nearly always show little patience\loyalty to any of the clubs players after less than a handful of below par performances.
