It's all very 2011-12 this isn't it?

There had to be an answer for how Bill survived the night of the long snides from Moshiri earlier this summer. His mates have got Farhad by the grapes and just gave him a little squeeze.

The Echo won't touch this story, those Kim Jong Bill supporters who happy clap with their heads firmly in the ground will never know any of this.

100 million loan, this club will be forever in debt in a worse position now than we were under Johnson.

Thought after last season we might see a little Ray of hope this, but nah as typical with this club things this season are far far worse.

Very depressing all this, the only silver lining is that the idea of a full takeover is now a chance. If the right party was found, it could mean a quicker end to the Moshiri/Kenwright rein.

But that is me just looking to find some hope, somewhere.

Sports and Media funding is just Vibrac under a different name.

The club has squandered so much money in the first 5 years since Moshiri arrived they've had to go cap in hand to a shady money lender to raise working capital to pay bills etc.

It's no different now to the situation that started in the mid 2000s when Bill couldn't explain away huge 'other operating expenses' at AGMs. (spoiler alert - It was interest charges) Moshiri cleared all that debt, made Bill Richer than he ever imagined and left that clown in situ. Look where we are!

I now fully expect Che Adams as our final signing and a late sale of Onana to UTD. The club is in a desperate situation because the owner has had his hands off the wheel and left utter incompetence in charge for several years.

The only quick out of this is below market value sale to whoever doesn't get Man Utd. (for about 1/10th of the investment!)

Which is what I suspect. Bill knows where the bodies are buried re: Moshiris funding.

It doesn't explain why Moshiri hasn't called his best mate and arranged an unfortunate accident or a sudden illness to bring around the demise of Chairman Bill.

By the way, I'm not condoning that course but when you are culpable in squandering 100s of millions of pounds, you can't expect to get away with it unscathed.

Still no comment from the greatest Evertonian ever ? " Our Chairman" has been very quiet recently, not much back slapping at all, no wonder they all wanted to retire. Where is our communications officer Prentice? Surely the easiest job in footbal, he can't be arsed communicating to fans at all can he. Where are Kenwrights fanboys all vanished I see. Sadly can see the PL stepping in soon, they all love to kick a club in the guts when the chips are down.

The trouble is, the chances of a sale to anyone reputable right now is quite low. Who wants to invest in this mess? Get the stadium built and there’s more chance. But we got bought out by a billionaire a few years ago. It’s no guarantee of anything.

Oh yeah, there's no denying it's a mess.

It just depends how desperate/disinterested Moshiri is?

I think if somebody came in now with a (very) generous 500m he'd be sorely tempted to cut and run.

As for being bought out by a billionaire, you'd imagine the common factor of our continued mess would be gone. I've said for years and years nothing improves at Everton until 'Chairman Bill' and all his arse sniffers are removed, and the whole building is scrubbed with bleach to remove the stench of failure.

Im still confused how a billionare helps football clubs with these FFP rules. I mean even if we had a billionaire our revenue is pants and that is what FFP is based on? If you have no revenue you cant spend irrespective of how much money the owner had?

I think its a long shot. Heading into an economic downturn, the end of free money with high interest rates and volitile shares prices, investing in Everton is the last thing anyone with money will think is a good idea!

The only exception would be that a billionaire could come in, fund the stadium, remove the debt covenants (and nasty high interest loans we are paying) and ensure that the windfall revenue from the stadium isn't chewed up by debt repayments.

I don't think we go from spending nothing to £100m in a transfer window, but we would certainly be in a much better and sustainable place...
