Welcome to Barcelonaton FC
How has this only just come about now.
I mean what were MSP doing all that time, they surely must of known this from the start.
Due diligence isn't it

You're right. A billionaire alone doesn't solve anything.Im still confused how a billionare helps football clubs with these FFP rules. I mean even if we had a billionaire our revenue is pants and that is what FFP is based on? If you have no revenue you cant spend irrespective of how much money the owner had?
That's Moshiris ace play in this.
He has a stadium worth maybe 1bn, plus a PL football club. If those things happen, he would likely get more. But it's a huge risk.
Kenwright must be removed from the club....even if it is them snakes. He can't be allowed to remain. Then we have those dodgy 777 fellers sniffing in.
Rather not sell the club and hopefully let Dyche spend zero each season to keep us up until some genuine investment comes in
Thought it was trumpeted at the time that FM’s investment had resolved all the pre-existing loans and debts… obviously not.
Others may well be able to clarify, but I'm pretty sure that in the land lease agreement with Peel this isn't possible.I've said it before that getting the stadium finished will be the only way he gets out with anything.
He won't make back what he put in but could easily find ways to make money off the stadium if he leased it back to the club etc.
Not that I would like to see Everton going bust (can't imagine it tbh), but I think lower leagues would bring us more joy than struggling every year just to stay up in the PL.I know you are joking, but nobody, it will just be a relief to watch the sport of football, watching as it eats itself with greed and it no longer having its death hold on my emotions.
Without Everton, football would bring me nothing but joy.
You do know how they become billionaires right? They don’t usually spend their money, in fact I’ve been saying for years on here that Moshiri is maxing our credit card at the casino. His incompetence at running our club has cost us as he loaded us with more and more debt.We have a billionaire owner. Despite the Uzmanov links, Moshiri is a billionaire in his own right. Yet we need to borrow from an external investment group to finish the stadium? Surely Moshiri can finish it off with his own money, even if its loaned (like Chelsea did with Abramovic for years).
They haven’t gone anywhere. They’ll get their 125, but now there’s a greater chance cash interest leaves the club instead of it being converted to equity. And the same people running the club will continue to do so…

The stadium 'building' is owned and operated by Everton Football Club/The Everton Stadium company.
Any change to this agreement and Peel can in effect, evict the club and insist it's returned to a Dock.
Oh yeah, there's no denying it's a mess.
It just depends how desperate/disinterested Moshiri is?
I think if somebody came in now with a (very) generous 500m he'd be sorely tempted to cut and run.
As for being bought out by a billionaire, you'd imagine the common factor of our continued mess would be gone. I've said for years and years nothing improves at Everton until 'Chairman Bill' and all his arse sniffers are removed, and the whole building is scrubbed with bleach to remove the stench of failure.

I have been flippantly saying that we are on the verge of possible liquidation.Hope thats the case.
But we all know that we don't 100% know how this club is ran.
Mosh will have an exit plan IMO. It will involve the stadium. If not he'll jump ship and take a hit on his investment...which more or less would mean he'd sell to whoever wants to give him £500mill+.
Which isn't good.
