All of this nonsense will of course impact the team .
We won't see any net investment in the team.
If we sell say Onana for £50 you might see a £10 m replacement. I'm not saying this will happen it's just illustrative , it could just as easily be Pickford out for 30 and a new keeper for 5.

So with that background Dyche is going to have to work minor miracles to keep us in the top flite because if we go down we become even less attractive to a new owner ( although Leeds was still sold as a Championship club).

I suspect that this is the reason that Dyche was retained. Getting results on a budget is what he does. I hate his brand of football but he's probably the best man for the job right now.
BK was the driving force behind appointing Dyche. I'd imagine he was hoping Dyche would be the right person to do a Moyes

Of course.

But there is also an opportunity.

Moshiri will have to sell. The value of the club will have plummeted. As others have said no one is paying Moshiri £500 m and inheriting at least the same amount in debt.

Therefore if Moshiri is over a barrel Everton acquired for a reasonable price and perhaps represent decent value.

However whilst this is an opportunity to get rid of Moshiri and Kenwright you have to be concerned about what comes next.

Will it be asset strippers or an oil state who wants a status symbol?
OIL STATE PLEASE!!!

Careful, knowing our luck we’ll end up owned by Venezuela…..

Knowing our luck we will find a man in a bedsit in Texas with one of these.

The club are about to release a statement that Moshiri and Kenwright are in talks with a Hollywood star and an oil state for the sale of 49% of the club which will bring in £500 million thereby wiping out the debt, providing funding for the stadium and an overhaul of the playing staff. Sean Dyche is believed to be very excited by the news that Moshiri and Kenwright have managed to secure the interest of both Popeye and Olive Oil and expect talks to conclude shortly.

Haha, we have something like that down here, it's down near Bognor Regis and some guy found oil in a field years ago and now their is 2 of those nodding donkey pumps just sat in this field with a couple of little huts next to them and people walk their dogs around it. It's very weird and out of place and a bit hard to explain tbh

I'm made up this has fell through tbh.

We must be the next big club off the rank for a rich owner looking to play at the top table with the other rich owners. Especially when the new stadium is built. That's the only way we'll ever be competitive again IMO.

A minority investment from MSP was not the long term solution for us.

I agree to an extent.

This deal falling through puts the future of the club in jeopardy but could also be a catalyst for a full takeover and getting rid of Moshiri and Kenwright - but what / who comes next?

That's if the stadium gets built, there's a huge financial shortfall on the funding, no sign of investment and costly loans to be funded.

But Moshiri and Bill have to be willing to give up there train set at a huge loss to themselves.
