I think he'll improve. He's just stepped up about 5 levels from where he was playing. It was unrealistic for everyone to think he'd be a world class superstar inside 12 months.

It took Naismith the same time frame to adapt. Prove all the haters wrong.

Not sure how anyone can justify saying sell this lad when a). He's been given about 11 minutes all season, b). he's learning a brand new position (telling a centre half he needs to be better at shooting? please), and c). If he goes who the balls else we gonna play there instead of Barry you mongs

Honestly i think he need to become first choise to be player that Everton needs . This in and out then not playing for long time is only harmful to him. Last 5 games he could play all of them and in that way get much more exp. that he needs. Honestly watch him play for Bosnia against whoever and you will see diferent player . Hes come in against Austria last game for 30 mill pounds Pjanic and play by all who I talk with, great, and take Bosnia to much better game . Now if he could replace Pjanic and make impact I think hes good enough for us.Martinez between old and new, pick old. I really think Besic, Barkley, McCarthy should be our spine next season , but I know Martinez will ruin Besic and maybe some other young talent because snail Barry and Osman who can be squad player , Barry is not even in that range for me. Why he play so much games this season and in 70% of them was awful I do not know.

Against Qpr at home him and ross were superb in the middle but then he got dropped for Barry again.

I think that was last game this season that i watch Everton playing whole game at level that I m happy with.

I'd say Besic was far from "decent". He was a prospect out of his depth, who takes too long on the ball and slows the play down, and makes too many mistakes for his position.

It was a bedding in season, but there's no guarantee we'll see anything of substance from him next season as there's been very little to suggest he's ready for a first team berth.

People see the odd long range pass and a turn on the ball and think he's a world beater - I see the other 90% of his game and I'm deeply unimpressed thus far.

This was true till yesterday's game. But something has changed at the WBA game. As I said earlier I've seen this at the Austria game too. No one was capable of tackling him or even keep up the pace with him. He developed so much in every aspect of the game. Yet I still like more discussing his development with You as it seems we're looking the different sides of the mirror. And I really hope for the sake of Everton that all the "Besic fans" are right and You're wrong. One thing is for sure: he'll never give up learning. He said when he was 15: he'll be the best football player in earth otherwise what's the point? And he'll do everything for that. Now that's something him and Everton can make profit from.

There's nothing wrong with his confidence, it's just the lack of play. He's one of the most confident players I've ever seen in my life. Loads more than Barkley that's for sure.

From playing CB in a much lower standard league, to playing CM in the PL, I think he's done more than well enough so far.

Barkley has played in England all his life and I wouldn't say he had a better season than Besic?

There's nothing wrong with his confidence, it's just the lack of play. He's one of the most confident players I've ever seen in my life. Loads more than Barkley that's for sure.

It will still affect his confidence when he plays really well then gets dropped for old man barry.
