12m reported fee potentially rising to 16m. Hopefully we end up paying that. I like the signing, good engine, strong. Bags of potential. As someone that keeps a close eye on Celtic I wouldn't be reading into the fact he didn't play ahead of Tavernier, he's the club captain and been pretty good for them in fairness, everytime I've seen Patterson he's been good especially in Europa League games. Will end up playing alot of games for Scotland.

With him and Mykolenko hopefully we have the full back positions sorted for a few years. Still need to shift some players out. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we recoup more money than spend this window. Digne probably, and God I hope someone is silly enough to buy Holgate.

Gets on the pitch because Aberdeen don't have the best ( or one of ) the best players in the league ahead of him at RB.

All I know is Patterson is HIGHLY rated by rangers, that's a good enough reason to me

I’m very well aware that fortune hasn’t favoured us in recent years, but just IMAGINE if these two full-backs were pretty decent. IMAGINE we got an equally young, promising CM and - dare I say it - even a forward, too?? All of a sudden our first 14/15 doesn’t look too shabby.

Debate will rage about whether the right coach is in place, even if that does turn out the case, and I admit I’m starting to lose patience with the fella but I’m also cautiously optimistic (with absolutely no reasonable basis, I admit) about where we may end up come the end of this window.

And no, for the first time in a month I’m not actually drunk.

I don't think we're a million miles away but neither are about 7 other clubs. I even thought today had some really encouraging signs going forward.
