I'm looking at him being a player that most will expect to start over Coleman.

He won't due to his lack of experience and still learning the game. The less than 50 professional games tells you that.

If he does however....the way we are defensively...it's going to be a horror show.

The fact that other younger players such as Branthwaite, Kenny, Dobbin, barely get any game time and Patterson is supposed to be going to slot in seems like completely fantasy to me

Coleman/Holgate/Godfrey will all be playing more games at right back that this kid.

Kenny is a crab mate and Patterson will 100% show the door to him.

And branthwaite is a really good prospect aswell, but I doubt he's played more top level football than Patterson

Played 10 games in the championship...far higher level than the Scottish prem in my book.

I would argue a lad who has played in the Europa League, for his country & also got some minutes at Euro 2020 has played more top level football than a few games in the Championship.

I'm keen on the notion of us signing promising talents but I was hoping for that we'd sign a player that can immediately provide an impact as the thought of Coleman starting again gives me the shudders. hopefully he distinguishes himself swiftly but if not I'll still support him.
