I’m guessing they’re stats from giving the ball away leading to a goal rather than poor positioning, I’m not a massive fan of stats they can be read in so many different ways. I prefer seeing things with my own eyes and Patterson has been at fault for goals being out of position getting caught out. That’s why last season he should of had a loan away to learn and gain first team experience injuries didn’t help him at all. I do think garner looked better at RB but that’s was 1 game and Patterson had a couple of decent games last season, thought Coleman was still better than Patterson last season and depends how he comes back from this injury but like last season can see Patterson starting as first choice big season for him and he needs to stay fit otherwise I think Coleman will take his place again or garner I still don’t believe he’s ready for premier league football but he does have potential no doubt, and in a better team with more support he would look better but we don’t have a better team so he needs to be more alert to his positioning this season and not be caught out as much. Him and mykolenko have to be 2 of the weakest fb positions last season at the time wasn’t the signings we needed we needed 2 first team ready full backs and neither were that, if Patterson played a full season last year I’d be more confident in him starting but still have my doubts.

I hope it does and he succeeds been needed for a few years and no one better to push you or show what the club means to you than Coleman. Just needed more game time a 40 game season in the championship would of been good for him but he may of still got injured so who knows what might of happened.

Perhaps, but it's too late for that now and he has played enough Prem games now to settle, big season ahead for him. Definitely learned to swim in the deep end, but that may turn out to be a good thing

Yes definitely going to be involved in some way this season as I said likely he starts as first choice RB again. Hope he’s fully fit and ready to go.

And sometimes it’s best just to avoid certain threads for a while if there is anything triggering etc as things often come across in unintended ways through written posts. And especially on things where views are subjective.

I have previous mate but never mind it’s all opinions I guess someone will always try and show their knowledge of football is better when sometimes you think they’ve never kicked a ball in their life or just sit on computer games and that’s their knowledge of football. I’ve also worked with various levels of professional or ex professional athletes Some who have been champions and sometimes you’d think they had never been involved with the sport they was in with some advice instructions they give.

Of course it’s all opinions, as you say. The issue is that some people are blatantly blinded by their own personal bias and this thread is full of waffle which bares no resemblance to most people’s eyes or statistical analysis and data which easily disproves their stance about a young footballer.
