The takeaways

thought Coleman was still better than Patterson last season

I still don’t believe he’s ready for premier league football

he needs to be more alert to his positioning this season and not be caught out as much. Him and mykolenko have to be 2 of the weakest fb positions last season

This and the Onana thread would be hilarious if the comments werent so biased or daft.
No bias towards anything it’s opinion, and nothing daft about them you cream over both of them I don’t, both have potential but yet to see anything other than potential neither have been brilliant or anything better than OK. Nothing biased or daft about that. I will say it again do I love Coleman yes what we paid and what we’ve had from him has been brilliant. Does my name reflect my affection for him NO was similar names knocking about at the time I made it over 10 years ago was a bit of a piss take. Coleman should of been replaced a couple of seasons ago I’d be saying the same thing if Patterson was LB zero bias towards him playing RB with Coleman. If he was left back I’d be saying definitely play him over mykolenko not cause I dislike him but because he’s crap.

No not at all mate 😁 forgive me if it come across like that just not mentally in the best place at the moment. And words can trigger emotions just be mindful of what you say or you may be used as one.

Like others have said we have a pinned mental health thread.

If you get triggered about Nathan Patterson and want to start fights maybe log off for a while.

Easy to remember then, right? please can you repeat these specific goals.
Of course it’s all opinions, as you say. The issue is that some people are blatantly blinded by their own personal bias and this thread is full of waffle which bares no resemblance to most people’s eyes or statistical analysis and data which easily disproves their stance about a young footballer. So, if you wouldn’t mind please can you recount these goals? Many thanks.
Not easy to remember no memory is crap but first off second game of the season villa first goal nowhere to be seen goal goes in he then comes into shot. Second goal trots into the box albeit Tom Davies was to blame but Patterson literally jogs back with no desire to become goal side of the attacking player watches that whole passage of play. Young lad going to make these mistakes my point has always been he should of been out getting game time away from us as he’s an inexperienced lad with little senior experience expected to be first choice in a struggling Everton side.

I have doubts about his durability, but, none about his potential. This kid is a very good player, quick, good first touch and strong on the ball. His only problem is that he seems to pick up too many injuries. This could just be him trying to adjust to the pace of the prem. Let's hope so, I've got high hopes for this lad.

🤔 no bias whatsoever. This young fella is obviously a trigger for you, maybe you shouldn’t put so much energy into this particular thread. I would hope to think you have matured better than your username. Be kind to yourself.

What’s the bias then? He’s a Everton player who’s got potential I want him to do well unlike mykolenko, maupay and others who are crap and can’t wait to see the back of. Tell me what’s the bias? That I think Coleman did better than him last season?

You have just highlighted a goal that you have said is Tom Davies’ fault. Patterson lives in your head rent free. Nice chatting with you.

The floor is yours... Back this up pal.
Third game of the season Forrest goal, over commits in the first passage recovers but then ball watches his awareness was crap and only realises a player is behind him when the rebound falls to Forrest player again to be expected from a young lad with little senior football again my point of he should of had experience out on loan unfortunately we haven’t been in a position for that so we need to accept he’s going to make mistakes while learning on the job doesn’t mean it’s right. Three games in do you want me to continue?

It was but a more experienced player would bust there gut to get goal side again my point with better cover he would look better. Lives in my head rent free hate that saying what’s it even mean?

Oh so by being exposed by poor players around him, he gets hung out to dry and it’s his fault?

Yeah, he could have reacted quicker to doubting a 180 turn to chase a ball when the attacker is already facing that way.

But two points, why was their player allowed to shoot from distance?
Why did Pickford palm the ball that was straight at him, back into play across the goal?
Not saying Patterson is blameless here, but there were 2 mistakes prior to his.
