We can't just go loaning out players in our thin squad, if Coleman is injured or needs rotating Patterson is in. He learns on the job, and like Myko he improves.

Myko didn’t have two players to cover him as we do in Coleman and Young I’m wondering. I’m where the anxiety comes from around right backs, we have two and a player who won an underage internstional tournament at right back in the squad - even with Nathan out on loan.

How many right back do we need for 18 games.

I don’t think it’s a valid point to be honest, to be haultng the lads development.

So send the young right backs out on loan. The 2 right backs we have nearly have a combined age of 80, they're not reliable injury wise. Patterson has also shown improvement by learning on the job, and hasn't cost us any goals scored from his defensive duties. He's 22, he's not going to learn anything new in a lower league, this is where he becomes a premier league player or not now.

Disagree with most of that mate.

We have three potential right backs options in the squad for 18 games, if not more options in the squad. I dont buy the paper thin argument.

Look there are pages saying he has and hadn’t, I’m not going down the screen shot route. Personally I think there is a player there. I think what he’s missing is balance in game, decision making, confidence and expierence - none of which I think he achieves without games. Hes never had consistent games in his career and he needs them and that experience.

If he beats out Coleman and Young for game time, fair play I was happy to see him get games over Christmas, but I don’t think he will and I think it wont help his development sitting in the shelf between now and May.

From the club point of view we want Nathan starting in August, we don’t want not to have confidence in him and have to go out and buy a starting right back.

I don’t understand what people are so fearful bout, will only help and improve the lad.

Neil I'm not reading all that he's playing well when starting and you've even said so yourself in previous weeks in this thread, mental you want to loan out anyone, he ain't sitting on the bench he's playing most weeks.
