Did he have some mitigating factors - around Everton setting him up to fail by trying him as a number 9 when he's never that? Yes

It's not as simple as him just being crap - he isn't. Potter doesn't tolerate him for 3 years and reject transfer offers for him if he was.

He's just not suited to this Everton team.

He'll outscore Beto this season IMO.

Regardless of favoured/best position, or a team playing to your strengths, if you're a professional footballer who regularly demonstrates he doesn't possess the level of skill required to control a pass or direct a shot at an empty goal then you should expect to be unpopular among the fans who pay good money to watch you play.

He fell well below expectation here, i thought he was a goof back up signing for DCL, he played far better and had far more of an impact then he did us.

Could never fault his work rate, but ultimately he was gobbled up here in a system that just didn't suit him and he was the last warm standing, his confidence was shot Nov.

This was too big a move for him.

We’ve had a 10 point deduction so not sure what point you’re trying to make with this. We were 2 points behind them before that and battered them on their own pitch.
