2024/25 Neal Maupay

He's a crap footballer, overpaid and a complete whopper. He wants out and we want him out.

"Imagine another job where it’s normalised to get abuse like this"

He's not wrong though. Moron's publicly screaming abuse at people shouldn't be acceptable.
You can't compare it to any normal job, they're getting in a week what people earn in a year, at least they're all trying their best though;)

Maupay has made himself even more disliked because of his trolling on social media. In general players try to keep out of the limelight apart from playing football.
A lower profile and fewer smart comments about other players, clubs and countries would result in less vitriol towards him.

That said I certainly would not agree with the abuse the players received. They are all young men trying to do their best. I just don't understand adults hurling abuse in this way.
I suppose it is the price you pay for having such an enormously well paid, high profile job.

he said imagine any other job where a worker would get this abuse, they wouldnt get abuse over the output, because they would be sacked
My mates in the police and was deployed in the thick of the Southport’s riots getting bricks launched at his head he’s on about 30k a year, gets stick most days just walking the streets too.

Not condoning the behaviour but also not going to say my heart bleeds for them because of one or two insecure little men shouting abuse.

Its not a ‘normal’ job. When you enter The Spectacle you have to live with it. Imagine being spat at as a member of The Clash at every gig. Working class spectacle is not for pansies like Maupay. He should have joined the civil service..

Neither should be condoned. Accepting one is accepting both.

Sad when a players page count shoots up and it's nothing to do with contributing on the pitch.

He's am irritating little bibble in the footnote of Everton FC and it'd be best all round if he just quietly left and we ignored him on the way out.

He'll be loving all the fuss as well.
Let me take you by the hand and tell you a little story about a man named Dele

You can. Salary should have no impact on social decency.

Unless you're trying to justify this type of behaviour?
I can't stand that segment of our fanbase, many of whom have issues with drinking and drugs, the way they acted only makes the situation worse, like when they chased Gordon down the street.

You can't really compare being a professional footballer to a typical 9-to-5 job—nobody pays hundreds to come and watch me work, right? And as for the idea that the players are 'trying their best,' I don't buy it. If the manager and players actually believe that, they're kidding themselves. I'm sure Dyche wouldn't think that way—conceding seven goals in two games must be humiliating for him.
