2024/25 Neal Maupay

I wasn't at Euston station.

How can I control what some guy does in Euston station? 🤷‍♂️

Maupay, I can control. He's posting things bringing the club into disrepute. Even lauding "my skipper" to someone that scored against Everton, that wasn't even the team he plays for

If most people here posted something that brought their employer into disrepute they'd get a disciplinary and/or fired

As for "wet wipe" comment. We want professional footballers at Everton, not online trolls. Thank you

I didn't say you were at Euston Station...

What did Maupay post that brought Everton into disrepute? The "My Skipper" comment? Grow up.

What was your response or opinion on Richarlison trolling Liverpool fans over the Richard Arlison coaches?

Finally, you can't control Maupay. He has absolutely no idea who you are, and likely wouldn't be even remotely bothered if he did.

He’s not brought the club into disrepute, you’re quite right but he can’t be commenting like that on our fans. It would be like me tweeting openly about my employer’s customers. Not acceptable, likely to result in an investigation and possibly disciplinary.

There are enough people out there with their mobiles who he knew would have posted on SM, but he decided to do so as well. Not acceptable by any measure.

There is no ‘ small minority ‘ anywhere, just disgruntled , disillusioned and increasingly angry supporters.
Once again you are trying to create a division amongst Evertonians for your own amusement.
Divide and conquer .
Makes me think you could be a club shill.

I like to see myself as somewhat of a father figure to this forum. You may want the "cool" dad who lets you open a present on Xmas eve and tells you everything is going to be okay, but I preach discipline, self reflection & tell a truth that you may not always want to hear.

One-day when you're all grown up and can function in a world without your head falling off, middle fingering & abusing others in volatile fits of rage, you'll see that I did do the right thing.

Ban the bloke for what exactly, he broke zero laws, wasn't on club property.

Jesus Christ you ban him for that then you'd have to ban about 7-8k at Goodison each week and that goes back 40+ years.

Want a passionate fan base, don't want fans showing any emotion though.

Yeah the guy looks a prize tool, but it's not the club's business to act like some woke politically correct sensor.

I'd rather stick a van on everybody whose been on our Board fir the past twenty odd years, all the paid up journos who kicked Kenwrights backside and a few dozen players who've stolen a living over the last decade, they've done way more damage to the clubs reputation than any fan losing it ever has
He does not look a prize tool. He is a prize tool. Club can do what it wants in relation to who can and cannot buy from it. Ba n the tool.

Miles too far

But the relationship between a football club and it's supporters is not the same as you selling whatever you sell to the buyers. Thats purely a transactional relationship. Are the fans likely to go to another club because of what Maupay said?

Who do you think has caused the media storm more? Maupay re-posting a video that was shared on Social Media, or the people posting the video on Social Media?

I get that the relationship is different. I personally wouldn’t expect it of him or any employee of the club. Exactly what you said, if he is not making a difference re-posting it, why re-post it? It’s purely antagonistic in my opinion and has done nothing to help the fractured nature of the relationship between supporters and the club. The disconnect is as wide as I’ve ever seen it.

No other players (as far as I am aware) have posted anything. Why do you think that is? It’s because they know there will be standards of behaviour expected by the club extending to social media activity. Something that seems not to bother him.

He mouths something back at the fans baiting him in video ive seen, that's when it gets very edgy. The other players are either ignoring or taping hands with the same fans. As far as I'm concerned he goading the fans/ customers...
