what is so hard to grasp is your certainty that Benitez will never be accepted. On what basis do you so confidently assert this?

Every other instance of this happening on football? The angry heads will always be louder than the fair minded. Is that a bit crap? Yeah sure, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Sorry you don't have an argument there with that. It is not based off anything and you are just flipping it over to try and win a discussion. You know as well as I do that he would be doomed, everyone does.

I still can't believe the club appear to have settled on these two managers out of all the managers in the world. One is a washed-up ex-RS who practically retired as a credible manager by chasing the big bucks in China, and the other is a no-mark who Wolves don't think is good enough to take them to the next level.

Oh, and both play boring passive football, exactly what Evertonians do not want to see. Joke club.

But you are being egotistical again.

You think he will do a great job so that will eliminate any hatred that some of our fans hold against him? It does not work like that. Not everyone thinks like you.

Your opinion although fair minded is also in a very small minority. He would not be allowed to do a great job purely because of the situation surrounding everything.

You can bring the greatest person into a role in any job. If the rest of the company (in this case the fans) do not take to that person then they will not last. It is just how life is. Your utopian thinking does not work in reality.

Personally I think you are confusing your own opinion for everyone else's. It would be a divisive appointment but the fanbase is not universally against it. He had decent support as an option on here in the poll. And I know other blues who while not enamoured with the prospect of him are not ardently against the idea. Those people get drowned out by the keyboard warriors. If we're winning then most people will support him, look at Moyes at WH. They will be quick to turn back against him but for now, a pretty much universally disliked appointment is popular and supported

Most people have awareness the options atm are not great.

Been talking to Benitez for about 5 days straight now haven’t we? What’s the point in holding more talks with him?

Him and Moshiri are playing this classic game.

Almost like Moshiri and Kenwright are forcefully trying to deter the fans for next season lol

Great we'll end up being at the mercy of Mendes all because the fanbase cany get over a small club jibe from 15 years ago lol

Wish we had Abramovich as owner/chairman bloke doesn't give a toss what the fans/media think and does what he thinks best for the club.

I just can't get excited by this fella looked burnt out at Wolves and has never won a trophy.

Can't understand all the vitriol for Mendes, yes yes an agent and a Lizzard but aren't all agents basically the same ? If Mendes tries to push one of his players towards us, can't we as a club, just say no thanks ?
Be honest was anyone calling Raiola when Lukaku signed from Chelsea to Everton. If Mendes can get us better players, who are we to argue, all agent are loathsome.
