We supposedly interviewed ralf twice before during manager absences , nothing is certain but i think our club would be a different direction if we hired ralf earlier. What he's done for the RB organization in whole is astounding.

We all know they're going to pick some has-been nothing because they have "PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE". Can't try something new when the last 5 have all bombed out, right?

I take Jordan’s point on this but really not sure this is a squad that can deliver top 6 overnight.

He didn't say that the squad was a top 6 squad. He said that Everton , with the right manager should comfortably be a top 6 club.

The first question from any candidate manager should be - how much do I have to spend before I have to sell?

Indeed. What worries me is the whole scramble to draw up a shortlist.

Brands should have 5 names ready to approach, changed weekly depending on managerial comings and goings.

He should be briefing Moshiri and the board at least a few times a year as to what his thinking is in that respect.

It all sounds so pre-digital, so last century these meetings.

Ancelotti might have sprung a surprise, but surely the point is that you're prepared.
He should have that ready to go at the drop of a hat and be able and ready to implement it after a phone call to Moshiri/ DBB/ whoever sanity checks the process once he knew Ancelotti was off.

The meeting could be about how initial contacts with people on the list went.

Absolutely but it will take time to achieve that IMO. It’s not a project in the sense that Wolves or Leeds were projects when their managers were appointed but it’s certainly not realistic to expect us to be competing overnight without considerable investment.

I go with conte but he will not be interested. Duncan ferguson is loyal and that would be an advantage. I do believe his passion and intensity would be a plus in modern game. The idea that this only lasts a number of matches is ridiculous as pep, kloppy, diego, bielsa and countless others etc prove it can last years. I also believe he would quickly root out the spoofers that for us really a priority. So he has many advantages and would be quite happy to gu e him a couple years at this stage.

But I went for ralf. His tactics would suit what is badly needed. He is rated in the coaching world and might have some pulling power in relation to the market that duncan would not have. We badly need some quality which we currently dont have for his intense game.

NO MORE SIDEWAYS PASSING AND STANDING OFF , NON CONTACT, NO TACKLING LARK.
