It will be a disgruntled, impatient mess which will inevitably lead to the fans getting into the players and making it crap for everyone.
To start with, there will be people you know, who haven’t made it through.

Sorry to sound moody, but we will be looking around us for familiar faces first. Hoping they’ve come through this.

The silence / boos will come next.

I genuinely don't get it. It's the fundamental lack of principles or self-respect this very small pocket of Benitez appeasers seem to have. It is absolutely right for people to turn round and say "wait no hang on this and Allardyce are disgusting appointments, wtf is going on".

What frustrates me a bit is the tone policing. Like you shouldn't go to the game if you're not happy with the appointment. On what basis?

I'm actually quite agnostic on it, I'm not as angry as most, but it's really not my place to start having a pop at people who are angry about it. I fully understand why. It is entirely Benitez's fault for that, and entirely at his doorstep to repair that damage. In some ways I hope for once in his life, he actually reaps what he sows a bit, and gets a flavour of what people actually think of him and his behaviour outside of the cosy little bubble he has.

Like if fans want to go and shout stick at Benitez, go for it. He could dish it out quickly enough so he cant complain when he gets a bit back. I wont be doing so, but good luck to those who feel they want to.

They reacted to the players, not the fans. The fans' attitude is governed by results. If the playing staff (and probably coaching staff) make it plain they wont work with the manager then that's the point Moshiri makes the flight to Liverpool and bins a manager.

I dunno mate, I think the ground chanting F off Sam Allardyce made a big difference.

I always felt that was handled terribly and once that gets into the bloodstream its very hard to get it out.

And I'd rather we didn't encourage people to hurl abuse at Everton's new manager on day one. How that is in any way justified or appropriate I do not know.

For someone who I get the sense is intelligent, that last paragraph astounds me.

I'm not doing that at all. I'm doing it off his ongoing behaviour, and that he has not properly addressed the comment in about 15 years. That's not a single mistake, it's an ongoing mistake, alongside many other character flaws he has. He is divisive wherever he goes and manipulates people.

He treated a lot of LFC staff very very badly mate. People who had given a lot of time to their club, just tossed aside by him without a 2nd thought.

However if he does well with us, I will be big enough to acknowledge it. After Ancelotti, I'm not going all in on any managers. Let's see how he does and take it from there? He has 6 really easy games to start, so I'm expecting him to start strongly. Let's hope he can manage that at least.
2 of the first 3 teams beat us at goodison last year

The difficult part of this is your laying all of it at benitez door.

We may lose a match because of Pickford error or missed penalty.

Its upto the players as a group to work with the management to deliver results.

Your giving them a free pass.

I'm not really mate. The manager is accountable for the results and the players he puts out on the pitch. Of course I'm not stupid and I can account for players errors, but that's why I would be looking for performances too.

His Newcastle team didn't produce winning football. Everton under Sam Allardyce beat them twice; I was at the GP game, I think there was one shot on target in the entire match. He didn't do well in China either.
Are you equating nfc to The Everton Football Club?

Quite.
Its absolutely pathetic.
Its OK for abuse to be directed at him yet when he labelled Everton a small club its like a murder.

Obscene
