Most of our fans can't even agree what colour is on our new shirt.

Whoever we get, they will have a large faction who will have it out for him from the get go. They will need to come in, win every game, playing like 1970s Brazil, and maybe then, it will be approaching 90% approval rate, because there will always be a minority who will refuse to budge.

That's just the way it is unfortunately.

Like, one of the most successful coaches in the modern game is probably Brian Kidd. Coached for Fergie at United, and Pep at City, so clearly has that talent. He left United to manage Blackburn. Blackburn ffs. Fergie knew he wouldnt handle it, and he didnt.

You are talking about stuff you know nothing about here. Just for once take on board what the people who have the experience of it are telling you.

It's not though!

We need the manager to do about a hundred things to get the club moving the right direction before we get to "what about when he gets booed?" And we're going to get weighed down by it because of some belief that the problem with past managers was that instead of all the other things that they couldn't do.

This is like the fitness thread on steroids. We just badly want it to be something simple and easily correctable. It isn't.
