Graham Potter would almost certainly turn up to his first training session in a tshirt with an obscure band that you’ve probably never heard of on it. He even knows a couple of their songs (from their first 2 albums obviously).

He is an early Genesis man

any body got a summary of that Atlhetic article that came out today?

Shortlist whittled down
No favourite yet
Santo has admirers but doubters on the board
Some want Martinez back
Potter is liked by Brands and they haven't taken his name off the shortlist
Benitez is a no cos he's a red
Moyes is still fuming he didn't get it pre-Ancelotti
Brands appears to have more influence this time around but Moshiri might just go mad and pick whoever he wants

Sounds like a heady brew

Agree mate. Don’t get me wrong Moyes did a great job. He made us hard to beat, had players working their socks off and always up for it in games, made some boss buys and even though we did play good footy in spells after 11 years or so of Moyes I just got bored watching us.

I think the problem was you knew that this was all it was ever going to be.

He has a ceiling, he reached it with us.

It just more of the same. We have too many big voices in the board room all putting forward their choices but it's all guess work.
Mosh may want another Hollywood manager
Kenwright may want Moyes or Roberto back - Moyes may not come back though cause we we did the dirty on him when picking Ancelotti.
No one has dismissed Potter and it's believed Brands may be a fan.
The club needs to decide how it wants to be run. Do we want to be Everton of old where we are smart in the transfer market and look to uncover gems or new Everton where Farhad gets his check book out and tries to buy star names. It's believed Brands would prefer the former.
Brands may be in charge finally but who really knows.
Lot's of 'mays' and 'ifs'.

I suppose at this moment in time we can still say we have James Rodriguez His name still carries some weight in football, that prospect might be exciting for a few managers.

Could well make or break the Brands experiment.

Suppose the new man will get to wave him off in his private jet as he legs it to a new club lol

There are suggestions that Brands is being empowered to line up transfers and deal with the prospect of which players might want to leave before any new manager arrives.
From The Athletic article.

That's a good sign, as far as I'm concerned. We can't give away another season to the players that aren't working while a new manager works that out for themselves. We know where the holes are in the squad, let's fill them.
