It took me literally 1 min in a cab from James Street Station to the Titanic Hotel (a stones throw to BMD) when I was there on Saturday night.

People need to get it out there heads that it's in the middle of no mans land surrounded by eggy smells.

In Kirkby you could see the obvious minefield the scheme had to pick its way through with residents, traders and nearby LAs all dead set against it. The KD was the same too as far as residents were concerned and the location was such that the traffic issues would have been monumental and require a lot of innovation to overcome.

I'm sure there are problems with this proposed site too in terms of affecting people's lives, but on first thought I'm struggling to think of them. With every agency on board it should be doable. My biggest reservation is EFC: Moshiri or not - I dont trust this club to do anything right. Experience tells me that if there's a way to bollocks something up or to use something as a smokescreen for ulterior motives then they'll find it.

Im pretty sure I read somewhere the waterfront stadium announcement was done in line with the Mexican cartel druglord escaping prison a while back.

This always worries me mate, im not sure about the details but the council and other parties were happy to basically tear down Anfield for the other lot to expand, even though as it turned out they didn't seem to be 100% sure what they were going to do (LFC I mean).

It seems to me that Everton will end up with a run down area in need of re-generation, Everton foot the bill, council looks great, we end up in the middle of some slums with a cardboard box for a stadium.

Quality of the stadium needs to be state of the art...I doubt VERY MUCH it will be anything like it.

I dunno, we payed top dollar to get rid of Martinez, we paid top dollar to get Koeman in. We played top dollar to get a good winger in and we were clearly set to pay top dollar for more signings. It seems to me that, while Moshiri doesn't want to waste money, he will go all out to do something right. He doesn't strike me as a half measures kind of fella. I'm hopeful.

Paid top dollar for all that and still made a £3M profit.

I work for the water company and can confirm that due to odour control and environmental regulations, the actual site will barely smell at all, never mind the surrounding areas

Actually think the integrity of the dock wall is of historic importance,so unlikely to knock through .

Why is a crap wall that was built by slaves of historical importance? I see no reason why it should be conserved. I would hope that LCC would allow us to demolish it, despite it's ridiculous listed status.

have you worked in and around the BMD site..that,s the only one that matters.
Look back in the thread and read from those who have and do work in the area.
You don,t complain after you sunk hundreds of millions of pounds into a project mate.
