Also it's been said a million times, we're not waiting 10 years for a Commonwealth Games stadium, and especially not one with an athletics track. We also won't find out if Liverpool have actually won the bid for another 2 years as well.

It will be designed as a football stadium, but that doesn't mean the stadium won't be used for the CG.

I fully appreciate that mate. It also means it will be built well before the CG, if Liverpool even gets selected.

It's entirely possible, even without an athletics track. When Glasgow had the CG in 2014, the opening and closing ceremonies were at Celtic's ground.

Will be hilarious when we have the best stadium in the city and it gets selected to represent the city ahead of Anfield.

Now, I ain't no detective or anything, but even I can see that that's a little bit too much of a coincidence for it to not be connected. Like I said though, it couldn't possibly happen. We're Everton.
