I am not expecting anything today beyond still pursuing & making progress. Two potentially viable options. May say they prefer one at this stage but not much more.
A top regional Labour politician (& massive Red) hinted to me that we'd hear by late March, huge hint it would be the Docks, when I saw him before Christmas. He also said we had wide political backing, even from the Red MPs/councillors, because it could be hugely beneficial for the city & would help attract more investment.
Basically said Peel were initially not very keen but became convinced Moshiri has access to the means and is also a potential asset to them in opening doors into other, wider investment in the Liverpool Waters project. Peel love
West Ham's situation is unique. A more pertinent example would be the distance from the pitch of supporters at The Emirates, a stadium which already looks dated.
New stadia such as Tottenhams are addressing the issue of fan participation much more seriously and I suspect Meis will be doing exactly that on our behalf.
Edit: from Tottenham's official site....
Q: What is the distance of each stand from the pitch? How does this compare with other new stadiums in the UK?
A: The new stadium has been designed to bring fans closer to the pitch that at any other modern stadium in the country. The first row of seats will be less than 8 metres from the touchline all the way around the ground – even closer for our singe-tier ‘home end’ which will be under 6 metres – compared with over 12 metres at the City of Manchester Stadium, over 13 metres at the Emirates Stadium and 18 metres at Wembley National Stadium.
I'll get a mix in Tom.Me and @Baines' left foot are still here. We'll sort it
Spurs just released this video which gives the best idea yet what it's going to be like. Have to admit this got me excited!

I said in another thread yesterday that Peel always reveal stuff at MIPIM and that's in March, also Joe Anderson said in his New Years message "I look forward to making an announcement with Everton Football Club on their decision on which one of the options for a new stadium they have chosen early in the new year". That fact that he and Everton would be making the announcement together perhaps suggests that tonight is not the night and Everton, Joe and Peel will reveal all in France. I hope I'm wrong like as I'd love to hear something tonight.
Good lad. What you got on ye sarnies?I'll get a mix in Tom.
So today's the day hey? New stadium announcement? Esk?
At least tag him in mate @The Esk
Esk will be reallocating the time he volunteers to help GOT. Instead of moderating the forum he'll be helping mould the direction of the site in other ways/strategic direction. More details to follow.
Just for clarification I'll not be posting here whilst doing some analytical work on GOT as I don't want to skew any findings.
Just out of interest any idea how far from the pitch the bullens road stand is?
Missed that, haven't got on here as much lately. Cheers WoollyEsk isn't posting at the moment lads. Danny is keeping him busy at the moment doing stuff behind the scenes ( I know no more than you )
See
He's still chatting on twitter though so, if you're on there, follow him and stuff
