New Everton Stadium

Ive been having a look on the dan meis website to see what sort of stadium we might get and while most have probably looked at the Roma stadium, this one caught my eye;

  • 52,000 seater stadium (expandable to 60,000)
  • I am presuming a retractable roof (though its not mentioned, thats what it looks like in the images)

University of Nevada-Las Vegas Now! Events Center

As the feature attraction of a strategic vision to both reinvent the campus and promote a thriving interface with the larger city of Las Vegas and beyond, the Multi-Use Events Center at UNLV is a state-of-the-art fully enclosed, domed venue with a permanent capacity of 52,000 capable of expanding to 60,000 seats.

The concept originally focused on how to include both an arena and stadium. Taking advantage of the recent developments in building technology, the varied requirements of both a stadium and an arena were combined into a single facility – providing a solution that is not only more cost effective than undertaking two separate buildings but also creates a truly one of a kind destination able to catalyze campus life and urban fabric alike.

Designed to house UNLV Football, NCAA Bowl Games and Arena Football, it could also play house to a future rodeo and NCAA Final Four basketball.

CLIENT: Silverton Lodge Casino
SIZE: 52,000 seats

Seats are too far away from the pitch for my liking there.

It's basically were all of the leading businesses meet every year in France and try to push their product in seminars etc. Peel (selling Liverpool Waters to the world) and Liverpool City Council (promoting the city) will be there and my guess is they'll be joined by Everton for a joint announcement. Every year they meet there and make a few new announcements, by revealing Everton for Liverpool Waters, it's as big as it gets in front of the world's leading money men. This could in addition lead to more investment for the wider Liverpool Waters site. I hope it's tonight but that's my guess.

I suspect that you are right in terms of timing of full announcements, though I would expect it will be announced, with renders etc, around the time of MIPIM rather than at MIPIM. I would still expect though, some indication this evening of financial commitments that have been made.

Figured this couldn't be about Everton after reading "leading businesses". Is there going to be announcement or what?

I hope so, March seems like such a long way off. :)
