New Everton Stadium

Goodison Park as great as it is, is a nightmare for a non local to plan to come to and watch the game. Parking, getting in and out, getting tickets where u want them etc etc...bringing the kids or the whole family is just hard work tbh.

A new stadium will attract plenty more out of town fans to make the trip more often.

Anyone know IF this was all to go ahead. What sort of time span would we be looking to moving in?? About 5 yrs or longer/shorter?

All depends on the planning application. Could be a while before that's done.

The good news is that we have a site, just can't see how its going to be funded by this lot.

50k IMO would be the sensible way to go. A new stadium attracts more fans anyway, better facilities, better match day experience, successfull team on the pitch....all combine. Ok maybe we wouldn't fill it week in week out but it's gonna have plenty of big games per season when it would be full.

This can lead to nothing but a great future for the club. Not that Goodison is terrible, but there's nothing like a new facility, with excellent, new training equipment and updated locker rooms, etc. to win over some quality players and get some of the young kids to commit to the School of Science instead of becoming Kopite trash.

Unless they call it "Dog Fouling Park." Then we're fooked.

...I think we could be clever utilising the space, perhaps seating 50k to meet demand, but when it doesn't exist bringing youngsters in at significant reduction or even extending corporate space.
