New Everton Stadium

Yeah I'm under the same understanding, the whole project is of considerable size it's going to take a long time, and I'm really disappointed that some people claiming to be ITK have been building the hopes up of many supporters the last 6 months yet still get praised and asked for more information?

My company will definitely be included when bidding for some of the major works, so fingers crossed hey, will be nice to have a site visit I'd appreciate more.
Im keeping an eye on our tenders and enquiries!!!

That an interesting watch. Hasn't Meiss worked on at least one other stadium in which the size and seating arrangement could be altered to suit different needs ? If so it could make his apparent selection as architect more pertinent.
Looks a bit complicated to me I was in the peoples club one time and there was no hot food because the fella who worked the microwave hadnt turned in.

Judging by what Meis has said so far, it'll be a football stadium first that will be temporarily adjusted to host athletics, it'll be 4-sided with steep stands close to the pitch, corporate seating won't be on all sides and a serious effort will be made to bring as much of what makes Goodison special with us as possible.

As long as Meis isn't full of it and means what he says, it'll be a great stadium.

I do hope the corners are filled in, can't be doing with Ewood park type ground that would be horrible.

Stands close to the pitch is a must

Yes, I think Hampden Park showed the way with the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

A temporary raised platform, covering the first x rows of seats should allow for a running track to fit inside the ground.

Hampden had the advantage of having more space around the pitch than we'd want, but if we're going for a 60,000 seater stadium, then even if we lost the bottom third of all four stands seats with the raised surface, it'd still have 40,000 seats. That's plenty for the Commonwealth Games - Hampden had 44,000 and Manchester's had 41,000.

Take it out when the games are done and everybody's happy.
