New Everton Stadium

I have to agree with @davek on this one.

While I do believe this will work out well, it is rather frustrating and unprofessional to have to be getting updates from a Mayor and an unofficially confirmed architect of an unconfirmed proposal.

Didn't Bill Kenwright invite Joe to speak at last month's AGM?

The club are very happy for Joe to say stuff. He's in their good graces and isn't going to say stuff that isn't untrue.

I think they would put in a temporary track if we were to host it. A false floor raised about 20foot from the grass level. I've thrown together a quick image on paint of what it could look like, keeping our fans as close to the pitch as possible.

I know. It would be nice to get the official confirmed announcement of both ground and architect, before said architect is running his mouth on twitter though?

Won't work. The area inside the track is used for field events. Do you propose a field that can be raised too?

Yeah, exactly my thoughts about how we could involve athletics likely even without movable seating. Involve movable field, raise it up and then just manually build a track around that field. Capacity for athletics would be way lower than for football, but the stadium could be quite easily convertible for summer period of the year. Commonwealth Games and European or World Champs would likely be possible too. Then possibly involve an arena under the pitch like they have in Lille and we have a world class stadium that can stage almost all sports.
