New Everton Stadium

When we're playing in the Championship we can crack on with redeveloping GP since we can demolish one section of the ground at a time and still not be turning people away at the turnstiles.

Not being funny mate but we have had enough false dawns to last two life times "The kings dock money is ring fenced" hmmm, what happened there? We have been fed so much bullshit from Bill and his cronies over the years that it's laughable.

Also "this mythical billionaire that is dying to buy the club ,but Bills stopping him."

Is the club for sale? One week Bill tells us the club has been for sale from day one, then it's only investment they're interested in, I've lost track.

I haven't lost track.

It's always been about Investment only, some times he might get slack or lazy and 'mis-speak', saying buy or sale when he means, some one to come in and buy a portion thereof...and pour money in...or buy out right for silly ( pound for pound actual value ) money, 150M is the usually accepted amount.

Oh and if he can wangle it so he is made 'life president' or some such, all the better.
which is not the worst thing that could happen as appointments go.
To give him his due he does do the Dave Hickson / Hillsborough stuff very well, if a tad mawkish and OTT, but hey that's showbiz.
But in reality he's going nowhere except out in a box.

Having a new ground is not just about increasing capacity.

It's about having a brand new purpose built facility with a zillion executive boxes and adequate parking and facilities surrounding the ground.

Look at the Etihad. Look at the Emirates.

Goodison is hemmed in with terraced streets, a church, a school....

Liverpool are only managing to redevelop Anfield because they spent 15 years buying up all the surrounding streets and streets of houses to flatten, in order to create the necessary land.

The deal of the century was King's Dock and Billy Liar told us time and time again that
he had everything planned and under control. He lied. Why? God Knows but that is the measure of the man.

For years there has been a view (supported by Billy Liar) that GP cannot be develeoped. Not true. We could make the Park End into a new Holt End/Gallowgate End. We could rebuild the main stand without too much trouble. Even Bullens Road could be increased.

We need a 50,000+ capacity. Soon.

If it's a 50,000+ capacity "effective-free World Class stadium" like Kirkby then no thanks my man...

No not like Kirkby. why would you think that?

I recall that the architects who undertook the design at St James Park said that a GP-upgrade was perfectly feasible. Villa, Ibrox, St James have all been kept and improved why not GP?

Considering we get like 70m a year from the new tv revenue alone I doubt 150m is a fair evaluation of our price now

I would be pooing bricks if I was Bill though given our atrocious form and precarious points tally
