New Everton Stadium

Could the team's current form have something to do with the lack of stadium info? Are people's arses going because they don't want to commit to a 60,000 seater stadium when the team could potentially be playing in the Championship, saddled with an astronomical wage bill? Yearly payments towards the stadium have to be met after all...

..i suppose it could be a problem for investors concerned we could be a Championship club. I dare say the whole business case is based on Everton being in the Premier League.

It’s all doom and gloom.

Not really, the stadium wouldn't be ready for 3 to 4 years, we could have gone down and up a few times by then. We are not cut adrift at the bottom of the league to make it inevitable that we are going down. The next process is getting planning permission, seeing by the time that's approved and we are ready to start building will be next summer anyhow (at the earliest) they can always choose to pause at that point.

Also the parachute payments help cover the wage bill, the stadium will nearly pay for itself (yearly cost) with naming rights and extra revenue over GP.
