New Everton Stadium

The whole brought up to be a "victim" speech he said ( what O'Keefe posted anyway ) is an absolute load of crap. That's called belittling the club he supports. I'm sincerely not arsed what the shyte spend, who they buy, how they somehow cheat their way through games/seasons and get away with all kinds of shyte because every now and then moments like last season's slippy g game or crystanbul or even Sunday occur and it's hard to stop laughing for any longer than a minute. Victims my arse, we have the best seat in the house watching that shower of shyte implode on an hourly/weekly/monthly basis depending how many Kopites you know.

Your diatribe does nothing in terms of what can or needs to be done to move Everton forward, his comparison is justified to demonstrate how we have lagged under BK & co.

The real thing here is that as a club, with little money we are in a long decline, of course there will be some ups but with out revenue it is increasingly slipping down. That is the crux of EVerton's problem the management.

My comment has absolutely nothing to do with Kenwright, moving forward as a club, finance, investment whatsoever.

My comment is about his perceived mentality of us being a victim and jealous of Liverpool's success and not being able to compete with Liverpool. Last time I checked they hadn't won the title since 1990 and us 1987 and them giving me ample opportunities to absolutely pish my pants on a regular basis. Not too sure what you think I was getting at tbh

^^^^ And I'm the one lacking positivity.

Lol.

Hah, that is realty, if you have no hope of filling them what is the point of building them and where. Would you want a box at a goal end? With the structure of Goodison Road and Bullens there would be constructional problems with all those pillars and the club would lose a lot of seating area for fans! So where would they go?

BTW, new stadium would fans pay for it with a season ticket price of a minimum of £1000 per season?

We are not competing with our neighbours in the business area, they make loads more cash than we do but they have a crap manager who throws it away.

No vision. Small minded.

A club is only as big as it's presentation. An awful lot of whinging about how we can't attract corporate sponsors and such. Well, if you don't think you can sell your product, then you damn well can't sell your product.

We're one of the bigger clubs in the biggest (financially) league in the world with massive exposure the world over. And you're telling me that corporate sponsors wouldn't get in on that if they were properly courted?

K.

How was I talking the club down, by saying that City, United and Liverpool all have a far bigger corporate reach than us? Even if we build a new stadium, the only way to catch them on a corporate level is with a Sheikh Mansour style takeover and I don't see it happening. I'm just being realistic. And I take your point on goodison.
We all want the same mate,Ive seen the Glory Days unfortunately my kids havent.
The New Stadium will happen, just wait & see. This board will not be around forever.
We have been treading water for far too long now,but it will change.
Although we have been tested to the limit at times over the last 20 years make a note of the crowds we took to Lille Wolfsburg & Young Boys lets never underestimate the following this cub has. This is no mediocre midtable club as these buffoons have portrayed us tonight ,give us an inkling of success & we'll fill any ground ...anywhere.
Yes we all want change,I beleive this is coming sooner rather than later with the new ground then we will be bàck at the Top Table where we belong.

We are also not a "victim" of our neighbours success ( or lack of in my opinion ) which was my original point

Well they got to two semis and are higher in the league. Happen his use of the word victims was wrong but we are in their shadow. It was pointed out before about there long term plan for Anfield buying up all the houses and land which means they can rebuild, increase their capacity. We have no chance of being able to do that with GP not just because we are landlocked but no money!

"I can get your corporate logo broadcast to xxx million viewers weekly for 9 months during the year, but since we're a small-thinking club we can't accept your money and instead will wear Greggs or Sayers, depending on the results of a poll in the Echo"

It's hard to see what he's logically saying here: he's emphasising more corporate boxes at Goodison and leaving the rest of the stadium 'as is'. Basically the 'Annexe' plan from a few years back. But how attractive can Everton be to a corporate clientele he envisions us being able to cash in on? It sounds like pie in the sky.

he didn't though, the opposite actually. he said there's not enough demand for corporate at goodison

"We're just a small midtable club that happens to be available to literally millions of people worldwide every weekend including wealthy growth markets like the United States and China. We are only an absolute certainty to stay in the league over the next few years and have potentially some of the sports most marketable and recognizable players with names such as Lukaku, Ross Barkley, and to many delusional Americans Tim Howard, there is clearly no major corporation on the planet that would offer us more money than, say, Sunderland."

Ends on a 'positive note', according to O'Keeffe:

I dont find that particularly inspiring, tbh. But I suppose it goes with the 'let's shove a few corporate boxes into one of the existing stands and boost revenue by a few quid' plan he advocates.

A chillingly uninventive and conservative seminar, in my opinion.

totally wrong again

Brilliant post mate in all the years i've followed this club i've never ever considered the word Victim... Privileged yes ....never Victim.
As the song goes to that freak show accross the park...."Always the Victim, its never your fault"....again brilliant post.

Imagine if major worldwide brands were actively seeking a way to get their name in front of potential customers on a regular basis in a relatively neutral/positive setting. Too bad that doesn't exist, but at least we can get 88888Bet to offer £50 weekly until they declare bankruptcy and we transfer a large white rectangle on the front of our game shirts.

*could be worse I guess
