It's a stadium not a cock!! It's not the size it's what we do with it that counts.

It won't be a bowlI'm quite convinced it will be either...
The B&M Bowl
Or
The Asda Arena
I can only assume he was originally talking about a 62k stadia.Didn't Dan Mies say there's no chance to expand in the future due to the site, once the stadium is built ... it's built. They were his words out his own mouth and that was less than 6 months ago.
Now all of a sudden we can build a 52k stadium with the option to increase to 62k? An extra 10k is near enough a whole new stand ... on a site which there no chance of expanding on not so long ago.
Just find it strange how he was adamant there was no chance of expanding on the site, but all of a sudden now there is.
Safe standing will be ratio 1:1 so they can't even use that excuse.
Bear pit it ain't.
Thinking out loud and may be way wide of the mark, is it possible that the underwhelming 52k capacity is released, planning permission obtained and then a later amendment to the plans is submitted to have a 57k capacity once the main objections have been appeased?
Maybe, yes. They leave room for that slightly higher figure by returning to the issue in the second consultation.I actually think we are marks here by the club. The final capacity will be 55k IMO and the club are already planing it.
Here’s the hustle,
Announce a 52k stadium.
Have divided opinions,
Have a fan consultation,
Overwhelming feedback for 60k.
Club make big show about listening to fans and taking on board their opinions,
Announce a 55k after listening to fans.
Everyone is happy.
I think Moshiri wants to spend as little as possible, hence 52k nowMaybe, yes. They leave room for that slightly higher figure by returning to the issue in the second consultation.
1. was my first thought: the club making a necessary statement of reality re: the difficulties of maximizing size in such a location.
I am hoping, possibly naively, that 2. would be too outrageous a stunt for the club to pull on their own fans. If they couldn't go ahead with BMD I'd hope that the club would just announce it and rule it out in a straightforward manner. But as I say hoping!

The cost of redeveloping to 62k will be passed on to whoever owns us In ten years time.
The price on those last 10000 seats is not inconsequential..My overwhelming feeling is still that this is an uphill struggle to secure funds - regardless of capacity.
If the funds are secured, Moshiri's game will just be to add value to his investment. He wont give a toss about 52k versus 62k. Iconic stadium design + location on WHS = big profit on sale.
well if you use your formula of 1k seats per inch of unit, given 52k seats....we'd be looking at a 52 incher...over 4 feet... but I digressYou’re confused , stadium size does matter as does cock size . What exactly can you do with a 1000 seater stadium or a 1” cock.
