New Everton Stadium

Dunno, theres money to be made, but it normally involves ripping off your fans with disgustingly high ticket prices.

So the richest clubs are the ones ripping their fans off. More fool them.;) Our position also reflects that our prices given the regular capacity attendance are very low. Too up our income how many would feel about say a 10% increase? Be thankful for what we have and stop moaning about new stadium capacity.

No! That's exactly the situation you're trying to move away from! Clubs like Liverpool/Arsenal/Utd have a much more healthy split between TV and matchday and that's partly what gives them a huge competitive edge because it's a differentiator from other clubs in the league.

Relying on TV money means the likes of Bournemtouth/Cardiff/Huddersfield get richer at the same rate as you. Building a stadium that brings in an extra - say - £50m a year though....that's where you can gain a competitive advantage, push up towards the richer clubs and create a gap to the others. And the thing is you've got the fanbase to do that, it just needs to be maximised. Of course, corporate will come into that as well.

I hope from your pov the proposed design makes the expansion up to 62k is easy and cheap enough to do.
It’s a fair point, but I think those clubs are the ones that tend to have thousands of tourist fans each week. I don’t know for sure, but I would imagine matchday income would include sales from the club stores at the grounds. So a family of tourists pays to go to a game, spends a few quid in the ground, but spend a couple of hundred in the megastore which is where the main income comes from. I don’t think Everton are going to attract that type of fan in significant numbers any time soon, which is why I say that matchday revenue is not as important to us, as a ground where the atmosphere can be noticed on tv.

Match day income says the clubs with new grounds can raise prices (and still have a small proportion of cheap season tickets), because people will pay more or else if they are not quick enough to buy them will end up on the waiting list.
I just did some quick maths. For us, 16m divided by 19 home games divided by average attendance of 39000 gives an average spend of 21.60 per person per game.
So this graph must be not including ticket price.
For comparison, Man utd works out to be 77.20

Can't argue with ripping off fans. We have comparatively low prices which is evident, and I struggle to pay an average £40 a game. I just think Everton have to offer a different pricing structure in the new stadium, in order to compete with the higher level.

An example is I can go in the LGS for £38 and then the Top Balcony for £42. Great at the moment only £4 difference. At the new stadium these differences should be a marked difference like an extra £10-£15-£20. There should be much more seats available (at the lower prices). Same thing with season tickets. Also reduce prices like the recent Newcastle and Watford games, (or in the cup), when they think a lower attendance might be expected. And Increasing the exec boxes etc will also bring a massive increase in revenue. They just have to be pragmatic. Balance increasing prices in various parts with making sure other sections are still affordable.

It's not necessarily 'ripping their fans off' as all of the clubs with the biggest match day income have the best spread of ticket offerings. It's essential we have this at BMD also as it's a key area of growth that can give us an edge over Brighton and the others currently side by side with us as @RobSpurs explains.

BMD should have basic seating, basic seats with lounge access (like the Park End) and other tiered hospitality options. This is one of the key issues people have with a low capacity as it sounds like it is limiting those areas.

Leta just hope this new ground makes Mosh his money then he can hopefully bugger off and some rich fella or Usmanov buys us out.

Hopefully then we increase the capacity, appoint a top quality Manager and actually be a big club again.

No other owner in world football has invested more money into their club since Moshiri took us over.

But sure, keep dreaming.

Means zilch if he has limited ambitions

Expected losses, mid table manager appointments etc.

If the bloke wants to pish his money up the wall more fool him.

He has realistic ambitions, he realises the road to the top is a long 1, you seem to think we can just click our fingers and magic our way to the top.

Not even City did that.

Disagree mate, City had about one season outside the top 6 then Hughes got them top 4 and the season or so after Mancini won them the league.

Moshiri has been here near 3 years and we are no better off than then minus the stadium news.

If you think we are breaking the top 4 appointing blokes like Alladyce and Silva and expecting to be beat by said teams we are aiming at overtaking more fool you.
