I don't think we ever owned the pit, which is key to us not being able to raise it to the ground and halt the consequences....Fair does then, never knew that.

Behind the goals is pretty much on the pitch. If you look at what you have quoted there, it shows a walkway, but when you get to the north/south stands the walkway is thin and you can see Seats in that area.
Possibly more wheelchair accessbility areas along the sides? Would be enough room for a chair and then space for people to walk past.

Did we build anfield ?Correct, but our first official ground out the park was just out of Stanley Park, on Priory Road roughly where the petrol station is. Played there for a few years and built stands there, think our first ever FA Cup fixture was played there, then we moved to Anfield and you know the rest.
It does look that way as you highlighted, but then it begs the question why the side stands don't follow the same proximity so all 4 stands are literally on the pitch.
May be perceived a little negative, but it seems counter-productive why its only 2 stands in this manner.
Just seen the edit: could be accessibility seating
Did we build anfield ?
The capacity just feels like where going 2 strps forward and 1 step back all over again. By the time its finished 6 teams will already have bigger grounds, maybe even 8 if Chelsea and Wolves press ahead with there plans, the sh!te will probably be beyond 60k by then with there Angield road plans.
Just hope that the 62k figure there quoting in regards to expansion, is actual designed extension of tiers or added tiers.. as safe standing won't go anywhere near that figure.
I was having a read of other club forums to see how they liked the new stadium and this post on the Wolves’ forum is interesting.
From the poster ‘Professional’
I’m involved in it on the finance side. It’s going to be a spectacular ground- hopefully bringing them closer to the ****ty red half of the city.
I have a slight niggle myself.....
I remember going to Spur early 90's my 1st ever visit there. We where 2-1 up and they scored 2 very late goals, Everton style. Barmby won it for them in the 92 min. Anyhoo i remember being in the away stand and looking over at their home end. I remember the big gap from the top of there stand to were the roof met. I always though it looked half done and very poor. Never liked WHL because of that.
SO...... the end opposite the big home end at BMD looks a little like that. Don't like the distance between the last row of seats and the roof starts. And to me if we round it up to the two stand next to it we could get a few more thousand seats in. Like we all want....
Its petty really and i love the stadium so much. UTFT
Yep - I know what you mean. It has been eating at me a little the more I look at it as we are used to there not being space between the stand and roof.
I’m holding on to the idea that these could be the expanded sections should we want to increase capacity.
I dunno. The rest of it is perfect.
Did we build anfield ?
Could be for the accoustics some people have gone on about.
Or engineering reasons as the space is strict and cannot be over hang etc.
