New Everton Stadium

Would be fantastic, I mean I love Goodison been going since the mid 90s, but a new stadium by the waterfront, would be great for the city too. The city would shine blue everyday. We can dream!

The waterfront dream probably sank forever with the Kenwright/Gregg ego-war at Kings Dock. Enabling funding was in place there and the site was easier than those that remain.

We aren't getting the leg-up City got & West Ham are getting. We need to hit as many buttons as possible from right cost, right size, right quality, right location. I know it is "location, location, location"...but it has to be consistent with budget.

I just struggle to see that in the city centre, even with Moshiri on board. I think the smart money should be Walton Hall Park...or somewhere further out still (someone suggested Stonebridge Cross which could be a possibility).

Would love a new shiny stadium wherever it is, for once would be great to rub the kopites noses in it. Moshiri has around the same wealth as John Henry so it's not exactly a Man City scenario of overtaking them financially, so for me a state of the art stadium would be the next best thing whilst they have to make do with redeveloping.

i get exactly what you are saying but to help the stadium pay its way it would help massively if it was in the city centre/waterfront. A hotel there attached would be much better than one in WHP, same with any conferencing facilities, the stadium itself may then be in demand for any summer events, I just think it would be easier to attract people to it for non footy purposes so someone better than me would need to plug the numbers to see if the extra costs would be outweighed by the extra income streams. And it would look mint.

Waterfront stadium ain't going to happen - Peel are sharks and will charge the earth for the dockland space. Working in conjunction with the Council to redevelop Walton Hall Park is by far the more sensible option.

They own a huge area that they want to develop. The new stadium could be just what they need to kick it off.....they benefit.....we benefit, and LCC provide whatever facilitation they can to both parties.
