This is ridiculous. Get The Councillor in off Rock N Rolla, give him a nice new lighter and a brass and get this signed off.

ThisI hope the government take the decision out of this joke of a council’s hands. We might actually get somewhere then.

Come on Rob Spurs. Don't leave us on tenderhooks here. What was Fat boy Pickles answer? Not sure that'll speed anything up! Ours was called in for a different reason. 18 months later David Lammy was standing up in Parliament asking if Eric Pickles was a secret Arsenal fan.
Yes they are. And my fear is the club will use this as an excuse.Scandalous that statement - so LCC giving us a date they knew they were never going to be able to meet!
This lot are absolute amateurs lol
And where is the Arteta money ffsThis club needs to come out and answer the following
They know they have a duty to keep the fans informed. It's not good enough.
- what's the delay on the PA?
- whats's the new schedule given delays?
Goat can help with foodWell I can help with the beer.
Problem with the club is that we know what Kenwright is like and he won't want anyone 'rocking the boat' so to speak, the chances of the club putting any pressure on LCC for an answer are pretty remote id say, we will sit it out and wait sadly.Yes they are. i think it's all about a touch of PR - "do a little" but in all honesty if the club were massively pushed to build tomorrow, there are plenty of avenues they could have persued. Creating public pressure, calling on LCC to accellerate the approval etc etc.
It's purely my take, but it suits them to sit back and have us all wondering why LCC are so slow at the moment. No-one in their right minds commits to a starting to build a new stadium tomorrow, you need to see the post covid roadmap (Football funding, crowd safety, new stadium requirements), you wouldn't build a hotel, an airport or a theatre at the moment and a stadium falls into that bracket sadly.
I have no doubt this stadium gets built and LCC & the club are both 100% committed to it, it is right for the club and the development of the city, it's economy and will be an iconic building, but will be a little while before we see the progress we hope for.
There is nothing the club can do, they can moan about it but everyone knows with covid it was going to be difficult. Nothing PR about putting in a small request to start making the openings in the dock wall. That was a constructive way to circumvent waiting for a decision on the main application to get things started this year. The council are useless what can you do.
If they wanted to sit on their hands they would have left everything as was and just say they're waiting on the planning permission to come through.
I honestly dont get how the pandemic has affected planning so much. Not like they are dealing with the actual issues caused by COVID and as key workers they'll have been working through both lockdowns and can easily do skype/zoom meetings.
Just inept.
