There's South Bootle Rec as well, just going off Google maps and just looking for green spaces.

The piece of land is quite large mate, enough to make a complex in my eyes, it has a small retail park up the road (10/15 minute walk away), with subway, maccies, kfc, Frankie and bennys, Travelodge and a few shops. If our ground was to be put round there, there would be a lot of room to build a load of pubs and what have you. Its not my first choice but it could work.I dunno how big this SC site is, but we should be looking to work with the likes of Westfield to build a massive stadium, shopping and entertainment complex. Not just one pub outside the ground like Wigan, not just a few bars built into the perimeter of the ground, but a full on destination, somewhere that is appealing from noon til midnight. Express bus services to town, train stations and the airport, masses of parking. It'll be ace.
Amazon pulled out I'm sure of it. I know a DPD warehouse went up further up the lancsWith respect to SC, I think you need to remember that the council rejected it after it was suggested by the greens.
The Council said it was earmarked for warehousing, notably an Amazon site that would bring hundreds of jobs. Things change but in the echo article it said planning permission had been granted for warehousing.
It's early days in Moshiri's tenure. I would give it time before we start flapping about possible sites. I don't think he going to come out with some destination Kirkby that puts him on a collision course with the fans so early on.
I'm thinking of something like The O2 on a larger scale, which has an indoor street of food and drink venues (but no shops). The piece of land is quite large mate, enough to make a complex in my eyes, it has a small retail park up the road (10/15 minute walk away), with subway, maccies, kfc, Frankie and bennys, Travelodge and a few shops. I agree fella, anything like that would be insanely good, but this is everton we don't have nice things like this. I hope we find a place close for Goodison or the city centre but we shall have to wait and seeI'm thinking of something like The O2 on a larger scale, which has an indoor street of food and drink venues (but no shops).
Imagine if we had a huge covered complex with the arena at the centre, and the entertainment parts all coming off it. Imagine a concourse around the stands that leads directly into the entertainment bit. It'd be incredible.
Ha ha, you've really gone to town there! Love it.Well if we are doing "fantasy stadiums" again I'll dig out my idea again.
New stadium built in Trafalgar dock.
Engineered with a removable pitch built on pontoons that can literally be lowered then towed out to sit floating in the docks/mersey. When the pitch is out other pitches can be towed in so that it can be used as a rugby stadium/event centre/tennis/athletics centre. The stadium is integral to the redevelopment of the docsk with cruise ships docking alongside and passengers being walked through the Liverpool city corridors with famous scenes from the city on one side and views out over a glass corridor of our stadium on the other. They then go up to the sky bar to look over the graces and our stadium.

Sorry, who's straight onto the M57? Not me, I don't own a car. I rely on public transport. That is why this site doesn't work for me. It's 1950's "get out of town" thinking. The kind of thinking that almost ruined Liverpool. Any site chose for the next 100 years for Everton FC has to be accessible by public transport (buses and train). Build next to a motorway and you are guaranteed one thing; gridlock. Let's learn from the Yanks who tried that and realised the folly of it. Most new stadiums built in the US in the last 2 decades are downtown and served by mass transit as they call it over there. This in the land where the car is king. Build as close to the city centre as possible. The area around Sandhills is a good location. Well served by bus and train, it's about 2 miles north of the city centre. A quick cab from the city centre wouldn't be too expensive. For people who do insist on driving (whether out of habit or necessity) there are lots of business around the Great Howard Street area who would gladly give up their car parking for Saturday games and evening kick offs, bit like around Old Trafford and Wembley.
