New Everton Stadium

No one should be able to build on Stanley Park it is green belt land and is for all the people of Liverpool. I said the same when Liverpool wanted to build theirs there and nothing has changed my mind on the subject.

What about this... The Arl Bernabeu

That opinion is viable as fook and i don't really see anyone changing their opinion on it so far - though the RS seemed to be making some kind of progress - unless that was just media baiting. Of the other options we've seen explored so far is Kirkby (massive nope from everyone) and King's Dock (traffic flow problems), but what else do we have that can be considered a serious option?

The RS were granted planning permission to build on Stanley Park, rightly or wrongly. They just didn't have the money to build the new stadium there, no matter what they say. They are doing the cheaper option now, rebuilding Anfield.

I think if we built on parkland, then the only way it would be morally right would be if Goodison Park was turned into public park land in return. To be honest, I'd be happy with that. I'll be gutted when the days comes when they build houses or even a supermarket on the site of Goodison.

I don't necessarily want to move, from a sentimental point of view, but we NEED to move. As a St Helens' fan as well, we moved from Knowsley road to Langtree Park (I know this is a completly different scale) and although some of the older fans would have liked to have stayed (I'm sure like some Wiganers at Central Park) but we HAD to move, to progress into the 21st Century. As do we; Goodison's great from a historic and atmospheric perspective but as a ground, in comparison to Villa Park and St James' to name a few, it's a tired stadium on its last legs.
When's this 'move' set to take place?
