New Everton Stadium

I used to go with my dad and, although he hailed from Northwich, he was a mad Evertonian. He saw some of our finest football until his untimely death in 1972 at only 52. Fabulous days!

Shows how our great club is embedded in our very being. How many father/son grandfather/grandson relationships have been enhanced by time spent at the match?

I know it's off topic but think it might be of interest so please forgive me in advance! My paternal grandfather was from Northwich and was a master baker (careful how you say that) born in 1894.When a young man, before he got married, he would work a 12 hour night shift on a Friday night get the train into Manchester and have few beers with his mates, go and watch City at Hyde Road then train back to Northwich and out with his girlfriend in the evening! Nothing changes much for young folk does it?

Chelsea "big club " ....no need for that language on here pal.
Hence why I put it in inverted commas. Never forget 2009 final. Had the misfortune to be sat by Chelsea fans. I swear not when they scored some just stood up and applauded like you might do when giving someone a standing ovation. Compare to us when Saha score, just mental. They were never considered a big club before Romans money and I still don't.

Rember coming out of Wembley,I said to a Chelski fan,if we had have won Wembley way would have been full of cart wheeling Evertonians.

Ther're like West Ham or Fulham with the Willie Wonker Golden ticket....despicable club.

How we approach the stadium will say as much about Moshiri's ambition as it does about our potential. If we go for a high specification stadium with 60k capacity, for example, it will be seen by potential players and fans alike. If it is 50k and a souped up shed with batman lights then rather less so.

I honestly believe we have more potential than we think. We are suffering from diminished expectations from 30 years of bad boards. If we aim the additional capacity and pricing to encourage in even more kids and families we build our future.

Are we going to be brave or are we going to play it safer?

We're talking about smaller stadiums on here, people are still behind the manager and now we're talking about renewing our contract with Chang, my high hopes are fading fast.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both EFC and Chang.

Efc have a chance to negogiate naming rights any new ground as well as new sponsership. This will give us massive exposure in the east which falls in line with PL long term business plan. Vice versa, this gives Chang a huge opportunity of their new launch in the western market.....

Interesting article,in fact could mirror this season maybe, from November 1970 and we were defending Champions that year:)
