New Everton Stadium

It will be state of the art stadium and our neighbours will be as jealous as hell.

Their Kopites mate

They would be jealous that they are not Evertonians and so let them expand their little hole it will always be a dump as no evertonian will ever step foot there unless its a away derby.

They cant polish a turn mate

I suggest we should all try and be positive on the off field stuff in the absence of solid reasons not to be as we have enough reasons for deression on the field.

I might venture on to rawk too to witness the meltdown there along with the "they can't sell out Goodison as it is" and "half season ticket" shouts believing that if they say it enough, nothing will come of it.

All these modern stadia from the Riverside to the Emirates to the Allianz that have been built in the last 20 years from a multitude of clubs are all basically cut from the same cloth with the same insipid generic corporate bowl design that just lack atmosphere and look generic.

A stadium with 4 unique different looking stands is so much appealling and traditional as a football stadium than a soul less identikit bowl of the 21st century.

The RS ownership you have to say have done well with not going that bowl route and staying and expanding gradually and keeping with tradition, which probably has to do with the baseball team they own that has a old stadium from the early 1900's while other teams in the MLB have gone the brand new generic corporate identikit stadium that is littered in every team's stadia in baseball except Fenway and Wrigley (Cubs) which is another ancient stadium they stayed at Fenway and gradually expanded.

Where the hell do you come up with this crap.

A 60k+ stadium, and what pricing structure do you envisage to compliment this. Does it include the increased cost of policing, stewards and general staffing resources; does it include the extra overheads as well as covering the costs of when the stadium does not sell out.

And wtf is a tier 1 stadium?? What would Wembley be classed as then, or old Trafford, or are they "tier 1" as well??

If you're not going to contribute anything positive to the discussion ... don't.

50,000-55,000 has always struck me as being about right for us. Bear in mind that Juventus have a 41,000 capacity and the average Bundesliga capacity is about 50,000. As long as there's a bigger footprint for potential expansion if/when we required it based on success, that'd be easily sufficient.

Of course, we await information from the Persian on this....information that should - in broad brush strokes - have been out there already.

Maybe during the 'Destination Kirkby' episode. But the situation has changed. Quite significantly to even 5 years ago.

Build it for 60k+. And it must be bigger than Anfield.

We need a top stadium that will accommodate massive crowds paying very reasonable
entrance fees watching a top team. That is the assumption the club should be working on.

The elasticity of demand at EFC is wider than most. I am convinced that if prices were more reasonable we could get thousands more. Current prices, even if they are cheaper than most, are still too high for loadsa people who have families and are just getting by. Merseyside will probably continue to have lower wages/income than most other places and that fact should be included in the thinking.

On an aside, I hope Goodison gets redeveloped, Goodison Road becomes a massive standing area, and the Park End capacity becomes like that at the Holt End/ Gallaway Road Stand.

Tier 1. End of.

We need to be the ones hosting big events in Liverpool. Not them.

I know we all want answers now but these things do take time, just look forward to the day you wake up, pick up a paper or switch on sky, and it's all over the news, knowing full well that this time it's for real. Then get yourself on here for the meltdown! :drunk:

Its all about Mr Moshiri showing that EFC has ambition.

Ambition to be the club leading the way hosting the big events in Liverpool. That bring in £££ in rental fees. Plus put our name out there more than current.

Capacity and quality will be what swings it for us.

lollollollol

Are you off your head, I asked you questions to debate. You just can't post "tier 1" stadium when it's a definition you've made up and no financial data to even back up your ludicrous statements
