New Everton Stadium

As soon as the seat construction cost is paid for (i.e. you presume £6000 which is itself still subjective)

Just by way of reference, Liverpool's additional 8,500 seats are costing £11,700 each. Two factors - the cost of revelopment is greater than new build and secondly the number of executive seats in their Main Stand redevelopment.

Therefore the £6,000 cost is fairly conservative but within expected industry range.

Yes got to be Tier 1 !!!!!

Let's face it that has to be at least twice as good as Tier 2 .

Tier 3 - not for me !

Tier 4 - bit of a bore!

Tier 5 - bit of a dive !
........................................

Yes mate.

A redeveloped Anfield with a poxy additional section on their stand. = TIER 2

Everton with a 65,000 monster. = TIER 1

They'll all be coming to us to host events. Not them.

So not only can we build a bigger Tier 1 stadium to their Tier 2 smaller stadium in Anfield.

We can do it cheaper as well !!!

Win-Win.

Where are you getting your definitions of Tier 1, 2, 3, 4 e.t.c from Damo?
What makes you think that we can justify us getting a 65k stadium based on past attendances?
How will we bring in an additional 25 thousand people?
Can you provide a clear cost benefit analysis listing the actual cost and benefit of your expanded seats instead of just listing perceived benefits?

Here's a thought mate.

If money was raised by Moshiri via equity to take his holding over 75%, or, he just anticipated future revenues to keep the FFP boys happy with a sensible business plan, do you not think it would be sensible to try and balance the demands of a new stadium with strengthening the squad ? There's a certain amount of "chicken and egg" in all this. If you invest in the squad, as well as the infrastructure ( in this case a new stadium ) you increase your chance of filling a new stadium on a regular basis thus feeding a virtous circle.

If you build a new stadium with a a design and a footprint which allows relatively easy expansion ( The Etihad being a good example of this ) then as the playing side becomes more successful, you can start to use the funds raised from Champions League qualification to expand the stadium from operating income or, basically a win-win situation.

Oh, quit tagging people in to every post btw, Danny's already said somewhere he ain't keen on that and I'll dig said post out if you persist.

How dare you state the obvious...new build is more financially viable. Do not ruin the redevelopment of the old lady... even though building costs would be even higher due to being land locked

A brand new quality with first class facilities and additional revenue streams that will come with it is the way.... yes GP has fond memories forcus all but lets create fond memories for generations to come and move with the industry / market needs.

@bizzaro, any chance you can point us to tier 1, tier 2 definitions?

Thanks

A tier 1 stadium is one with top of the line hospitality facilities. Unbelivable sight lines from all seats. For ordinary fans it has bars and concourses for food and drink. Amble conveniences and with adequate space to host world class events such as World Cup matches. Rugby events. NFL etc. It also has excellent transport links.

A tier 2 stadium is something like Anfield where they try and slot on some additional facilities with no real improvements to any other facilities just to cram in some more into an already crammed stadium. Having been in the back of the away end at an Everton game - you cannot see the Kop when everyone stands due to the massive overhang and the multiple pillars in the way. That stadium is far from tier 1.
